F2 is for the variance in temp. For example if you have F1 set for 2 deg Celsius and F2 set for 1 deg Celsius, the temp control would trigger at 1 (heat) and 3 (cool) degree Celsius.
F3 is a timer to keep your compressor from kicking on every 30 seconds. I set mine at 10 so there is at least...
How well does this work? I have a spare tapper (that I stole the party tap from for my keg) and just tossed a bottle like that into the garbage this morning. I'm going to dig it out right now!
Tap spacing is one thing I've been going back an forth on as well. Good idea with the painters tape. I'll stop drinking BEFORE I start working next time so I can think of these ideas.
I thought this was a pretty good deal when I looked at it. If bought at my local shop it would have been close to $200.

They donated to HBT Vendor Giveaway so it would be a good way to pay them back :)
Just got done sparging mine on the 1/2" for the first time. It flows like crazy so I can only imagine how fast yours will be with 1" Let us know how it goes!
1" may be a little over kill. I haven't mashed yet (tonight will be my first go at it) so I don't have a leg to stand on, but I modeled mine after all the 1/2" manifolds out there. Whatever you do, good luck!

Inside track to Corny Kegs?!?!
MIS Degree here as well, but I work in Cable Sales (voice, data, audio/video). I should have picked a degree a little more in tune with my local economy. But hey, I was only 18... What did I know?
Wow, this is one reason this is the best forum/website on the web! I'm so addicted to reading through this forum I'm surprised I just now saw this.
Please count me in!
What are the dimensions of the box with your taps?
I like the shelf idea, I'm going to have to use that for mine!
I like the way this thing looks, you're doing a great job.

I used a digital meat thermometer on my first extract batch and it worked fine at first then later it would jump from 160 to 190 in seconds without me changing the burner temp.. I think it's because the probe wasn't designed to be submerged in water and it got screwed up once I did. This may...
My LHBS doesn't have Caraaroma so he asked if he could sub an extra dark Crystal Malt that is 125-145L. I want to do this recipe as my first all grain batch. I'm still new to this and i'm not sure which grains do what.
What do you think this sub would do to the beer?
I could always order...
Haha, they were HUGE the first time I put them up so I tried to make them a little smaller. Well, I succeeded! :ban:
You should be able to click on them to bring up a slightly bigger version on photobucket. This was my first experience with photobucket so my next pics should turn out better.
