yeah the website isnt the best...but its the only place i use...not sure if its a 2 or 3 piece ball valve....the intent of this post was someone called me today saying it would cost a hundred dollars for a ball valve and a temp gauge...so i posted...
there website is more for like people who know exact names of thing...but ive got a hard time finding some things on there also....but if u call them, like i did today, they quoted me at 17 bucks for a ss ball valve...1/2 inch npt
if your paying more than 17 bucks for a 1/2 inch ss ball valve or more than a couple bucks for a ss full coupling, then your getting ripped off my friends. Stop buying from these overpriced suppliers in these hard times and go where i go...go where the process facilites go...go to gfi...
i didnt write this but this is what u get when u google it
Answer to mig welding stainless steel
A lot of stainless steel mig welding tests are set up using Tri mix shielding gas (90 helium - 7.5 argon-2.5 co2) and .035" 308 stainless steel mig wire.
try these settings for a start...
ss will not work for mig welding without the tri mix gas....u need the helium to help increase the temp and burn it into the metal....as far as i know...seems ever time i try and weld ss with mig process usin no tri mix it doesnt work right....and im usin an ln 25 so i got plenty of power behind...
Well there's a gasket in the middle of two ferrels...they have a groove on the inside face so the gasket locks inplace and then on the outside of the ferrel is a sharp angle which the tri clamp clamps around the two and when u tighten it it smashes the two ferrels together providing a leak proof...
I don't know...it should work...use tri mix gas...maybe a smaller gauge wire , under .035, never tried stainless in a little machine like that, I say smaller wire cause the ss might requier a little more heat
