What Temp Do You Like Your Beer To Drink???

Home brews: normally between 45 and 55 degrees, depending on the style. Or if you are talking about summer time and store bought "plain" beer, I like it "Ice-Cold" (I don't buy "plain" beer except in the summer).

Corny Kegs - Rubber Top or No Rubber Top?

In 5 gallon kegs I like the rubber top handles, the two handles are nice for an older guy like me when handling them. Also, I can drain a cleaned keg easier with it standing upside down on it's handles. But for my 3 and 2 1/2 gallon kegs I like the single handle kegs better. Knock on...

    hydrometer question

"Im new to brewing and was finding using a glass hydrometer difficult are there any other devices out there?" There are hydrometers available with a smaller range, giving you a larger scale, which makes it quite easy to read. My FG hydrometer is a smaller range: 0.980 - 1.020, with about...

Punching holes in a cast aluminum box

I would use a "vari-bit" which is a step drill bit. It would drill a nice hole quick in that aluminum. Taht looks like a nice little aluminum box.

can we use this type of hydrometer

Good Question... can we use this type of hydrometer? No. They are not too accurate, the wrong scale or range, prone to have clinging bubble issues, huge scale increments.
