    I put on a Festa Brew kit wednesday evening. By thursday morning it had developed a very good head. This morning(friday) the head has thinned out considerably. Is this normal? The kit is a brown ale and is sitting at room temp. I have not taken an sg reading. I will wait another day or two...

    I`m new to beer brewing and this forum. I`d like to know what "extract brewing" means. I am sure I could find out by digging into the site or at my local B&W shop but can someone explain the process here? All replys appreciated. Cheers, Joe.

    It`s Baron`s kit which consists of a 7.5 litre container of wort, package of yeast, hops and a packet of some sort of protein buster(?). You pour the wort into your primary, top it up, wait for the temperature to stabilise, add the yeast and hops, then let it ferment. real simple. My next kit...

    Just bottled a batch of Baron`s Amber Ale. My first brewing in a number of years. This site has some very helpful information and some confusing terms but I`m sure I`ll get better educated as I go along. Two weeks to go before I crack open the Amber. I`m getting really thirsty! :) Cheers...
