A 6 pack of Naked City IIPA

Looks pretty good! I think the layout for the type is a bit awkward in respects to looking at it dead on because of the curve of the bottle. That and the large space between Hopocalypse Now and Imperial IPA. I do like the format for your labels with the logo small and classy up top.

    First Beer Buzz

First buzz was malt liquor...shared a 40 of Crazy Horse with some other friends when I was 12. First beer buzz I think was Miller (bleck).

    Kämpferstrahl Brewing Logo Design

I just threw this together, but you should be able to get some decent effects, giving more texture to the logo. The only thing I didnt try was making the type look like it was engraved on but that shouldnt be too hard. You working in Photoshop?

    Screw It!

Again, a crude (and quick) hack job, but here you go

    Screw It!

That one works better IMO. Its overall much darker which lets the type stand out more. I think your brand idea is great...you have a ton of possibilities to make it looks cool!

    Screw It!

What program are you using? Can you blur text in it? If so, create a black (or that maroon color) version of the text, place it underneath your original text, and then blur it. That will give you a crude drop shadow. You can then shift it if you want it to have a directional look and if it isnt...

    Screw It!

One more image (because I am apparently limited to 4 per post) EDIT: This is a quick hack job...much easier to do when you have the original source files.

    Screw It!

Drop Shadow, Stroke, Outer Glow or a combination of any of these. Try playing around with a drop shadow first. Here are a few examples. I like what you have so far. You could also play around with the background photo by using a pseudo vignette at the bottom that feathers out...

Getting a keg ready to drink end of Sept.

Yea thats what I thought initially. So chilling for a week is merely to let it clear? And I suppose I should use a bit of co2 to seat the lid after I have primed the keg? Cheers, Bill

Getting a keg ready to drink end of Sept.

Okay...one more question if anybody can help me out with the answer :D So lets say I decide to force carbonate at room temp (basement is around 68-70). Im looking at around 30 psi. How long will it take to carb at the temp and pressure? I can do a month if necessary but thats getting pretty...

What do you think about this Oktoberfest?

I just made a Mocktoberfest last week. Used 3# light DME and 3.3# of light LME. DME went in the beginning of boil (only a 30 minute boil) and LME went in at flame out. Steeped 8 oz of crystal 40 and 60 i believe...and I put a pound of vienna in although thats only because I had it on hand and...

    Label water proofing ?

Has anyone tried laminating sheets? Just curious. You would have to leave a good 1/8 to 1/4" overhang on the front of the label. A little spray adhesive on the back of the label (unlaminated) would keep it in place so the rigidness of the laminated side wouldnt pull it off the bottle. I know...

    Brown cider

Just curious how many people have used brown cider. I have an orchard down the street from me that sells it in one gallon jugs. One thing though is that they are all refrigerated. Actually every brown cider I have come across is always refrigerated. Im wondering if this is because there are no...
