Best solution for serving 2 kegs and force carbing a 3rd?

I have the setup you are talking about. 2 kegs on tap and one keg carbing, if I have my pipeline right. I don't have a need for different carb levels, so I have one regulator and something like this: Works great for me. But as the others stated, you will need as many regulators as...

Pale Ale Question (5 to 15 gallon)

i have to agree with bigbeergeek on the dry hops. i have dry hopped a 5 gallon batch with 1 oz. of cascades and it is a waste of time. Go big or go home. I am moving on to at least 2 oz. of cascade dry hops next time, for an APA......probably 2.5 to 3 oz. to be honest.

    Best Extract Kit?

www.highgravitybrew.com This is my LHBS and I have to say I have been more than pleased with their kits. Great original recipes with plenty of steeping grains and hops depending on what kind of beer you want to brew. At least check them out. You can find the link for each brew that shows you...

BEST/WORST thing anyone has ever said about your own HB?

Best and worst came on the same batch of belgium wit. Best: "That is the best beer I have ever tasted in my life".....same guy seeks out wit beers where ever he travels and always tells me..."tried a new one last week and after the first sip I knew it was not even close to yours". This guy...

    Blow off question on corny

I use blow offs exclusively. No need to swap out for an air lock if you have the end in some water or star san solution.

Dry hopping with pellets - crush first ?

Don't over think it. Just dump them in. As mentioned, they fall apart themselves really fast.

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Yo, Beav..........i would go with 14 to 25 days in primary. If you can get away with 25 then do it. I do about a month for almost all of my beers. If 14 works better i think you will be OK too. I try to stay away from the one week primary, just too many variables foe me personally. Others...

Curious about BMC drinkers and their taste

I am not too good to drink a Bud from time to time. Not my preference, but it has its time and place. I would rank them bud, bud light, miller lite, coors light. I can't stand coors light, but can tolerate miller lite. It is all just a preference. Normal beer drinkers are not like...

    This "HEAT DOME" %$#@ing sucks!!!!!!!

I can't get my wort cooler than 80 degrees and I have a pre-chiller on my IC. I hate this heat dome......who is with me?!!!!!!!!! Piss on you heat dome!!!!!!!!! I brewed an ESB anyway........waiting to pitch the yeast right now, but it is what it is, I gotta brew when I can, so I will...

    Dry Hop trub issues...

I tie a sanitized hop bag around the bottom of my racking cane and give it a little slack down there so that the hop bag catches the hop particles before they go in your keg. Works well for me.

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

OK.....put me on the list to have brewed this. First time for me. It was my first mini-mash and I am working towards it being my first all-grain brew, probably this fall. It fermented out FAST!!!!!!!! I am letting it clean up a little before I keg and dry hop. If it is half as good...

Muntons Connoisseurs Nut Brown Ale can

Anyone ever brewed this? It was given to me and I am not 100% sure what to do with it. Per the directions it looks like a no-boil type of a brew that is already pre-hopped and everything. Any feedback would be great. Not sure if I want to waste my time with this or not. Thanks in advance.

Dry hopping in keg vs fermenter

Whoa.......humann_brewing just blew my mind.......indeed......why not both?!!!!!!!!!

Dry hopping in keg vs fermenter

Awesome.......I used a nylon hop bag. I think i might start using this technique more often. I might go 3 weeks in primary(given ferm. is complete) and then dry hop in the keg when I turn the gas on, leaving it alone for around 2 weeks. Hmmmmm......time to experiment. Thanks guys!!!!

Dry hopping in keg vs fermenter

Interested in this same question. Just tapped a black IPA and my home grown cascades didn't give me what I wanted when i dry hopped them, so I added an ounce if cascade pellets to the keg. To add to the OP's question, will this take a while to get the hop aroma to come through? Is that due to...

Organic way to keep bugs off Hops!

This is a long thread, just wanted to add my 2 cents even though I am not sure I have read all of the posts. I keep a water hose hooked up in my back yard and when it really starts getting hot here is when i see the bugs start to get on my hops. I spray them down in the morning and the...
