I like reviving threads from the depths.......this is one fine brew. How did it turn out, has anyone else tried it, does anyone else love this beer as I do? I can't find it anymore, so I need to brew it!!!! Please help me.

I'm from out of state and am in Colorado right now and I am enjoying O'dell's 90 Shilling, Ske Modus Hoperandi IPA (2 thimbs up!!!) and some other non Colorado beers that I can't get in my home state. Ska makes some great stuff. If you can find Euphoria Pale Ale from Ska I highly recommend it...

Caught it just right a couple of nights ago and got a lb each of citra, Simcoe, Columbus, and falconer's flight!!!!!!!! I am gonna have some splainin to do whenSWMBO sees 4 lbs of hops show up!!!! I couldn't pass it up though,so much goodness for about $75 and it should last me a while...

Just kegged this. Hydro sample tasted amazing!!!! I had a few thoughts and wanted to bounce them off you guys. Question#1: could you do the math and use something like magnum for the first hop addition and get something close to the same flavor here? Question#2: how about Simcoe, columbus...

+1 I would just soak it in a star-San solution and add the hops if that is the route you are going. Or you could do what I do (and quite a few others around here) and just toss the hops in an let them be free. Just personal preference.

1056 would be an excellent yeast for this pale ale. I just brewed this and went with 05, which is the same yeast strain as 1056.

Thanks Verg, that is what I am looking at, I had seen it posted by others. I just wasn't sure if I could get 2 better bottles with blow offs in there or not. Great price even if I just use it for 1 better bottle though!!!! Can anyone confirm that you can get 2 better bottles in this thing?

Cali common all the way with the northern brewer. One of my favorite styles, easy drinking, great flavor and you can find some good recipes on this site.

S-04 does this to me sometimes as we'll. that yeast is a beast. Blow off tube all the way with the tube into a gallon milk jug half filled with star san works great for me.

Yeah, I have an ounce each of Summit and Falconer's Flight to dry hop with. I was just concerned that 1 oz of 16%AA Summit for 60 minutes would be way too bitter. I might tone it down, but I might just let it ride.

The OG is 1.059, FG is 1.014. How does that ratio work with these numbers?
