    Whiskey Malt?

My beers usually take forever to really clear, and by then their half gone. So, it's no big deal.

    Whiskey Malt?

While I do think west coast is the bests coast, I also believe haze schmaze.

    Whiskey Malt?

Awesome! What was your grain bill? Was this your primary base grain?

    Whiskey Malt?

Think I'm going to order some. I'll try to remember to follow up when I finally get around to it.

    Whiskey Malt?

Pretty sure my lhbs uses morebeer as a vendor, so I can always save on shipping for what I find on there. Edit: If they can get it for me at 50lbs for about 50 bucks, it might be worth it just to change things up.

    Whiskey Malt?

That's the stuff. I would love to give it a shot, but just hesitant to buy a giant bag I haven't really heard of before. I think it's sold in 1lb, or 50lb. So....

    Whiskey Malt?

Morebeer.com has some stuff called Whisky malt and I thought it might be interesting to brew with. I think it's different from distillers malt, because they carry that too with the distinct name of distillers malt. They say you can use it in beers amd get some fun flavors, but has anyone here...

    Liquid Amber Malt -Recipe Suggestions

I've got some Chinook hops laying around too, so maybe I'll do an arrogant bastard "clone".

    Liquid Amber Malt -Recipe Suggestions

Oh smoked grains. That's a good one I didn't think of. I think I even have some laying around. Thought about doing a english mild? Would I be able to squeeze it into a Baltic porter? Might not be the right base for that profile.

    Liquid Amber Malt -Recipe Suggestions

Thanks. That's a good idea. I'm not too worried about staying. Half the cans are just slightly past the best by date, and the others are good till through 2024. That being said, I wonder what styles would work best for the staler cans.

    Liquid Amber Malt -Recipe Suggestions

That's one of my other ideas, but one reason I'm looking for ideas, is to get it used up, but the older cans first.

    Liquid Amber Malt -Recipe Suggestions

So, a local homebrewer guy passed away a couple months back, RIP, and they were selling his beer making stuff. So, I bought 26 cans of liquid amber malt extract for like 50 or 60 bucks. Seemed like a good deal. I was just coming here to see if anyone has some fun recommendations of what to brew...

    Reddit homebrew is frustrating

The one that got me yesterday was a new brewer worrying about his OG being way too low. But in his post he mentions taking the reading after the yeast had been fermenting for a few days. So instead of helping them understand the difference in gravities and when to take those measurements, it's...

    Reddit homebrew is frustrating

I've been brewing for about 10 years and have always appreciated the advice I've gotten on homebrewtalk. However, the same can not be said in my brief experience in the homebrew subreddit. I've gotten information on there that I know is straight up wrong and today I saw some advice for a new...

    Connecting wort chillers

This is kinda what I was thinking. Thanks for the pic.

    Connecting wort chillers

That's what I might do. Try both, see which works best. My temp coming out of the tap is cold enough, I just want it to go faster still. I never thought of the prechill idea though. That's smart.

    Connecting wort chillers

I think I'm overcomplicating this in my head, and am now a little embarrassed for asking the question. I can just run my hose to a splitter and hook both chillers up at the same time. My idea was to tighten up the coil on the small chill and stick it inside the bigger chiller. Would that work...

    Connecting wort chillers

Oh duh, a 25' and 50'x3/8" immersion chillers I think.
  19. J

    Connecting wort chillers

I want to connect my smaller wort chiller to my other wort chiller to make one bigger wort chiller. Would this be a dumb idea, and what would be a good way to connect them?

    Hbc hops recommendations

It's all fun, I'm just having trouble making a decision. I have time before next brew day though.
