What the F is this thing?

Looks like something you use to drive nails into concrete to set studs for framing. Nail goes in the bottom, a small charge goes in the top (should be a little opening to put it in, you twist the handle to cover it), smack it with a hammer and it concludes with a small explosion driving the...

I'm sorry sir you've had too much...

I HATE it when people using being drunk as an excuse for saying or doing something stupid. Don't drink so much if it makes you do stupid things.

    Maris Otter vs Pale 2-Row

It's a bit nutty in flavor. I use it in my IPAs and my Stouts as a preference, I feel it gives the beer a little more complexity than two-row.

    Bar rescue thoughts

How do you suppose, at the beginning of the show, they get all the "candid" shots? Sure, they show some cameras in the ceiling they claim to have installed, but the shots are taken from eye level. Even the people they send in early to see whats going on, you get a shot of their face at the...

Why can't anyone spell the word 'Sale'???

The whole loose vs. lose thing is so prevalent and irritating. I see it all the time in business emails from college educated people.

    UGH! I'm an IDIOT!

as you add it to bring up the gravity, then boil it down the density of the sugar (og) increases as only the water evaporates leaving the sugar behind in less fluid.

How do you limit beer consumption off kegs?

I brew inexpensive batches … maybe avg $15 per.

How do you limit beer consumption off kegs?

My friends can drink as much as they care to. We had some friends over a little bit ago and we polished of 7 1/2 gallons...no big deal, I can make more or buy some while it is fermenting/conditioning. I have a dual-tap on my kegerator, if there is a brew in there I don't necessarily want to...

    Something I learned about Saisons

Don't think that is it, I controlled my temp to 62 when I fermented. Interesting both of you had no issues. No big deal for me just to use the bucket for Saison's though, they are relatively inexpensive, the beauty of using buckets.

    Something I learned about Saisons

I fermented in a bucket. I washed the bucket, let some cleanser sit in it for a week. Next brew day I santized it and re-used it. The next beer (a bitter) still smells a bit like a Saison. The bucket now says "for Saison use only". Lesson learned.
