Pumping out of an SS Brewtech bucket

this I don’t know who told you brewbuckets can’t easily pressure transfer. I did it for a year 1/2” silicone snugly fits in the hole for the airlock, and actually sealed well enough for me that it held 2psi all through cold crash and then closed transfer.

    SS Brewtech 7 Gallon Chronical

Ah gotcha! Lemme dm you. Might work out if we can figure something out. Remind me, Chronical BME comes with the chilling coil correct? Heating upgrade gives you the neoprene and the heating pad, i believe?

    SS Brewtech 7 Gallon Chronical

Is this the BME or the Standard? I'm located on Long Island, might be able to figure something out

    Dryhops stuck on Chiller Coil

This would negate my efforts to go oxygen free during dryhop. This issue doesnt arise when fermentation is still going, as then i just open the top and dump the hops in. However once fermentation is complete, i use a hop dryhopper under co2 pressure to dryhop to avoid any and all oxygen ingress.

What came in the mail for you today?

I totally understand and respect that. And certain online retailers (such as Northern Brewer which has been fantastic with communication), have been responsible during all of this, and have been realistic with customers, just like a good portion of local businesses have been here where i live...

What came in the mail for you today?

Wonder if its from the same online company. They also mention their home location, but distribute from multiple warehouses around the country. Their covid on their site says orders may be delayed a couple days, where as they normally ship within a day, but i'm on day 7 still waiting. I've had...

What came in the mail for you today?

Anyone having any issues with some online retailers being exceptionally slow with shipping things out, and seemingly using the "Covid" excuse? I just ordered multiple things from multiple retailers last week on the same day. 2 of them have already been delivered, one took 3 days to ship (not...

Strategy for swapping hoses and handling drips etc. ???

I have a bunch of hand towels I use for brew days to catch drips and spills, and before I pull hoses off, I pinch the hose at the end and hold it like that while I place it onto the new location

    Dryhops stuck on Chiller Coil

Anyone else with SS Brewtech BME gear have issues with your dryhops getting stuck on the top of the chiller coil? I've got a 7 gallon BME Chronical and since the top of the coil is around 7 gallons, its above the wort/krausen line for most beers. For my final dryhop i use a...

    Less Expensive Can Seamer

Can someone with the cannular verify something for me? I'm having a dick of a time setting this thing up, and no matter how perfect to spec i get the rollers, and the table, i still have an issue with the seam. Its like 1 out of every 4 cans seams properly. Something i noticed today, and...

two 110v elements, two circuits, one PID?

Also chiming in. I run a 3v Herms system on single 1650watt elements. One in the HLT and one in the boil kettle. Heat up times take forever, but I have no problem making good beer. Can get it to boil with the lid cracked. Heck even boils vigorously if I don’t have it cracked enough. I’ve had a...

NEIPA Grain Bill to achieve Opaque Pale Yellow

I've actually changed my recipe quite a bit since then, and i've settled on the following for the typical other half style oat cream neipa Typically my "Into Fermenter" volume is around 6 gallons to account for dryhop absorption and any yeast/trub dump i do during fermentation and i'll end up...

    Stainless Steel CFC Comparisions

I have the northern brewer CFC and currently with 55-58 degree ground temps, it takes me about 20 total minutes to knockout to the fermenter at 65. Typically i'll run the wort through the pump, cfc, and then back into the whirlpool port of the kettle for about 10 minutes to drive the wort temp...

    SS BrewTech Useless Valve

I think all of you guys need to take another look at your process. I brewed 4bbls of beer in 2019 in 2x 7gallon brewbuckets with absolutely zero leaks, and never have a problem with clogged racking arms. 1) ensure the nut is hand tight, nothing more 2) i usually put the racking arm at...

    Low pressure co2 regulator

Can someone recommend me a low pressure CO2 regulator for cold crashing and transfer in non-unitank fermenters? I was using a paintball tank and micro-regulator but it’s extremely unreliable and my prv is too fickle for something that isn’t rock solid, and if I’m upgrading to a full CO2 tank and...

    Rtd Pt100 Xlr connector question

RTD Probes dont need to be grounded. They dont carry any voltage. Its just resistance signal

    Rtd Pt100 Xlr connector question

With the cost of probes and cables, why not replace to isolate the problem. Sounds like it could equally be a faulty probe as much as it could be faulty cable.
