Anyone in the Miami area? Let me know lets get some Miami brew days going!

If anyone in Miami wants to brew together, I am in the process of building a home-brewery in my garage and would love more brewing friends... The homebrew hobby hasn't really fully developed in Miami yet so brewing friends are hard to come by.

Brewbox has closed.... There is a new homebrew store in Hialeah called Miami Beer and Wine Makers Warehouse (http://www.miamibeerandwine.com/). I haven't gone so I can't say if they are good or not, but its the only one we got in Dade county.

I agree keezer is the way to go. You can just do so much more with a keezer. One thing though, be sure to get at least 7.2 cu ft...

Does anyone know if there are any beer of the month clubs that ship to FL?

I like to work in extremes. So I have a session stout in one and an imperial in the other! The "sessionable" one seems to have more promise right now. Might add roasted coffee beans to the imperial to develop a better flavor profile...

I'm not brewing per say, but I am building new home brew equipment! Does that count? :D

I have to admit that college basketball is pretty lame, but college football is DEFINITELY better than pro football. College football games are far more exciting; not to mention the recent trends in pro athlete's attitude is very obnoxious.

I bought myself a new keggle and mash tun. Couldn't be more stoked! Of course I got the standard glassware set and a few beer books. (not complaining) Overall, a good brewing christmas.

I've been thinking about wine-making for a bit now. How would you compare the two? My biggest issue is impatience with allowing something to condition/age for a year before you can crack it open! LOL

I too found this site through a Google search. Actually several times and that is why I joined finally. Not to mention I heard HBT referenced several times in the last few club meetings... Great forum/community!

Hi Everyone, I am relatively new to brewing. Been brewing with extract for a few months and just recently switched to AG. I have been slowly converting my one car garage into a brewery and couldn't be more stoked. I will post pics later today and you all can let me know what you think...
