Alright, thanks for the heads up, bill. That means we have 2lbs of Cascade and 1lb of Northern Brewer open in the splits. Any takers?

Bill, when you're confirming accounts do you just validate the account exists on HBT or just click a button? Seems like validating the HBT username could be as simple as the system making a request to HBT.com for a username and it returns status 200 for a valid user, and 302 for an invalid...

Alright, RC doesn't seem to be responding and I don't want to lose the order, so I'm adding the hops to my order now. If you are part of the Cascade or NB splits, please respond confirming and I will update this post. I'll hold RC's allocation in the split for now. *UPDATED as of Oct 10 @...

Yes. If RC responds today he'll be managing the NB and Cascade split, otherwise I will take over the NB/Cascade splits. Either way it will happen unless bill closes the order in the next few hours. :)

Alright, finally caught up with all this bizniz. I really do not want to front multiple the hop splits RC was setting up, but I need hops in a bad way (I'm averaging 2-3 test batches a week and plan to keep that pace the rest of the year). If RC doesn't respond by Noon tomorrow I am willing to...

FFS this thread explodes. I get busy for even two days and I've got 10-15 pages to read.

I'll take a pound if you've still got a slot.

Bump me up to 2lbs a piece, especially if we are going to not be running another group buy until March/April. Already torn on whether I should be adding four more sacks or not.

I'd be in for Cascade, NB, and Magnum.

Anyone want to go halfsies on a Honey Malt? Side note, by chance has the code that runs the group buy been open sourced? I didn't get a chance to finish my group buy site before having to travel for 45 of the last 60 days (Approx 6500 miles driven in traveling since last group buy), and...

Sorry for not getting back, I had a 1000 mile drive to the Albany area to deal with before I could get to work on it. Spreadsheet import complete, Data modeling and import complete, form for grain quote complete. Going to work on some UI quirks and calcs tomorrow and then push up a build for...

    Smartphone brewing

I use Beersmith for recipe creation, but I hate it's lack of batch-centric functionality. BrewersFriend has the right idea, but their monetization model leaves a lot to be desired. I'm working on an iOS app that ties into my in-house brew session webapp so I can take/review my brew notes...

    Irish Red Ale

That will definitely mellow in aging. I had a batch that I used 8oz of roasted barley due to some efficiency miscalculations, and in secondary it was barely palatable due to the roast. I let it age 3 weeks and the barley hit the right tone and the MO was able to shine through.

If you can send me the spreadsheet I'll see if I can build a version to take orders and feed into a per-user order form this week.

Thanks for the samples and conversation at the pickup! strike water is almost to temp, red ale is in secondary, IPA is kegged and I'm ready for a second wind.
