Nooooo!! I ordered both of those things. How will I compare fortified bourbon/oak to barreled?!

Paid up. Now everyone needs to hurry up and pay so we don't have another RubyConf incident where pickups are when I'm on the other end of the country!

Payment will be sent in the next few hours. Cheers. :mug:

Compost, if you are into that sort of thing. I use it for bread, pizza dough, baked goods, and when I run out of uses it goes in the composter. I'm contemplating turning it into hard tack and using it as meals for my three year old when he's being unruly. :D

Definitely check Craigslist first. I picked up a 7cu ft chest freezer for $50 and a 14cu ft for $100 thanks to CL.

Thanks all. It sucks, but means I can take a week and focus on the business development aspect of my brewery. Day job + three year old + two month old means I substitute sleep in favor of working on the business. :)

I'm your split-angel. I picked up the Cara Munich 60 and Crystal 60 splits that had only one left. Unfortunately I was unable to complete the hop splits given the need for 6-10lbs to complete. Seeing as I was laid off today, I picked up what my business could afford. :(

If cheesecake is dropping out, I'll take on the barrel. My smoked porter could benefit from barrel-aging instead of oak chips.

Wow, folks have been busy. I checked splits earlier and something like 20 splits were active, and most of those are gone and there are only 11 currently open? I may not have much more to add to my order.

We've reached the last 24 hours of the group buy. I'll check in on the splits in the afternoon and start picking up stray splits where I can. Bill, as long as I'm not speaking at a conference this time (which hilariously enough the next one is March 5-9), I'll volunteer my services and drive...

I will take the other 1/2 of the current Vienna split if this doesn't happen. If this does happen, I will take the remaining 1/4.

For anyone concerned that their splits may not fill, I'm waiting until the last day to see if there's anything near closing I can help out with. I was checking splits daily but realized if I kept that up, more splits would happen and more grain would be coming back to my lab than I have places...

I'm doing my best to snatch up splits as they show up, so we'll see how many don't get filled. If you have a hop split, chances are excellent my name is on your split. :D

I don't see PBW or any other cleaner outside of StarSan available in the database. Are they unavailable, or just not added to the db yet? Most of my order is in, my Prius is going to get a workout on this pickup. :D

    Cademon Test Lab Build

The Samsung 7" LCD LED touchscreen has shipped and I am waiting on that component for final drilling. I have decided to use RJ11 jacks for temperature sensors, primarily due to availability. XLR connectors look nice, but would cost money for not much gain. I was hoping for something like M12...

    Cademon Test Lab Build

On the control panel front, we started drilling the control panel and tapping the backplate. Continuing on the doomed front, our hole saw for the heating element power managed to crap out on us without finishing the job, which resulted in having to use a dremel to cut and grind the holes to...

    Cademon Test Lab Build

This weekend we made a lot of progress, but we had a lot of problems that lead to delays and adjustments. When drilling the kettles, we had to use a blue diamond carbide tip bit in order to get the job done. When drilling the holes for the sparge arm, we thought the same thing would be...

    Cademon Test Lab Build

Progress on the lab has been mainly control panel related. I was missing a step bit to drill out the heating elements so I focused on the control panel and automation system. I'm uncertain if my LCD touchscreen will be usable now (incident with the controller board as I was wiring to an HDMI...

    Cademon Test Lab Build

This weekend I worked on assembling the rest of the conical fermenter stands, constructing the plate chiller mounting bracket to the brewstand, and assembling the sparge arm. The framing is complete on the conical stands, I just need to saw out the conical hole in the plywood and all four...

    Cademon Test Lab Build

Mash tun is progressing. Bulkheads for the recirculated fitting and outlet valve are installed, a false bottom has been ordered from Jaybird, and sparge arm fittings have been ordered from StainlessBrewing. I took a break from working on the equipment to work on our control panel...
