    CT Brewers Check-In

I live here in Oakville just north of Waterbury. I call my ops Beer Baron Brewing. Not brewing anything new for the moment. Had to dump my NEIPA as we haven't been able to drink it fast enough, the remainder of the beers are all stouts, porters and ciders, good for aging. Not to worry, the NEIPA...

Building a Home Brew & Pub Setup

Hey All, A few updates. Will have pictures soon. - The basement now has heat! - The new electric circuit doubles as a 240V supply for an upgraded brewery setup down the road! - Scored a free black leather couch for sitting space - Ordering stainless prep tables this week! The basement area...

Adding a 240 volt circuit for indoor BIAB

This is because if it is a 3 prong dryer outlet. The dryer is grounded through the neutral lug thus the GFCI senses the current and trips.

Adding a 240 volt circuit for indoor BIAB

Your standard 30A double pole is not enough. You need a gfci 30 A double pole. In the event of a ground fault it will trip far faster than during a short circuit. Other than that i think you are on the right track

Sadly cannot see the pictures :-(

    Keezer lid design ideas needed

I understand. I could have done multiple towers, or a black pipe on the top, but it was too cumbersome with a swing lid. I like the collar design. Add a nice drip tray and the collar looks great I think!

    Keezer lid design ideas needed

Why not just make a small 1" thick cover that hangs over the taps of the collar make it kid proof?

    Northwestern CT 22.3cu/ft Keezer Build

Interesting. How are you going to implement the motion sensor to the glass rinser?
  9. BeerBaron1985

    Northwestern CT 22.3cu/ft Keezer Build

Nope, the NC. You want the pump to shut off when the pressure switch is pressurized. Seals on the glass rinser cannot handle more than 15psi. The pump OEM shuts off at 35PSI but thats too much. Oh yes, many applications. I did the same thing with my bilge fan and light setup, except instead of...

    Northwestern CT 22.3cu/ft Keezer Build

Def. Good luck! FYI The pressure switch has a Common, Normally Open, and Normally closed. The pump is connected to the normally closed side on the positive rail, same goes for the SPDT relay that does the LED flipping. EDIT The pump is running when the line pressure is less than 15psi, and...

    Northwestern CT 22.3cu/ft Keezer Build

Thank you! Sure. I'll try to draw it out. Basically the leds have a 12+DC and R-G-B terminals. The relay basically flip flops the DC negative between the R-B terminals. When the pressure switch energizes the SPDT relay, it makes the LED action happen. Make sense?

How Many Kegs in your Keezer/Kegerator?

Not sure how I can vote on the thread from Tapatalk. Honestly guys im a fluke, anyone who has more than 6 taps should open a speakeasy, nano brewery, or start a homebrew club. I vote for a speakeasy!

How Many Kegs in your Keezer/Kegerator?

https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/northwestern-ct-22-3cu-ft-keezer-build.647267/ Read through the whole thing, i did make adjustments to my fan operation. Was going to have a two speed setup, but then opted for a speed controller and magnetic reed switch design. Lid open, led light...

How Many Kegs in your Keezer/Kegerator?

It was a go big or go home moment. Got the chest freezer at a ridiculous steal from a restaurant who was upgrading didnt have the space for them anymore. I could have gone 6-8 taps and had the rest of the space for fridge storage of cans bottles etc, and currently do at the moment. Only have 10...

How Many Kegs in your Keezer/Kegerator?

Bilge fans, resistant to moisture, sealed motor and bearing, and designed for heavy duty marine use. Running the fan at a slower speed only increases its service life. :-)

How Many Kegs in your Keezer/Kegerator?

Correct, its a bilge fan with a speed controller attached. Its all documented in my keezer build thread.

Good eye! The empty space was for a NEIPA I was force carbing when i took the pic. There is an empty space for it though!
