The Best Way to Remove Old Labels

Hello All, Hoping that someone has some advise for me on an easy way to remove the old labels from Sam Adams/Sierra Nevada bottles. I just started botteling this past weekend, and the $13.00 bucks that they charge for a case of new bottles at my LHBS is too much. I've got a high...

We no need no stinking beer gun...

This is awesome. I tried it for the first time today and it seemed to work great. Granted this is my first time botteling anything, but it went off without a hitch, and I didn't even neeed to buy anything:ban: Thanks for the great thread and idea BeirMuncher!

    Craigs List Score and Refurbish

I really should have taken some pics right after I got it. The transformation was remarkable. Just checked my temp in the front of the fridge with the water in a glass method, and it was sitting at a nice 38 degrees. Now I can have a nice cold one whenever I want:mug:

    Craigs List Score and Refurbish

I bought a Beverage Air Industrial Kegerator off of craiglist a couple of weekends ago for $100.00 even. The unit was in disrepair, and was filthy. The gentleman I bought it from did pulg it in however, so I knew the unit still worked reasonably well. Here is a link to a couple of...

How Many Korney Kegs Fit In A Sanyo 4912?

Hello All, I have been storing all of my brews at room temperture, and I am tired of having to ice my jockey box every time I want a cold one. How many kegs does the Sanyo 4912 hold? I'd like a mini fridge that holds atleast 4 kegs. Any Input? Cheers!:tank:

    My First Cider

Well, Just kegged my first cider batch last night. I am quite pleased with how it turned out. It has a nice fruity flavor. It did however finish quite dry. I am sure that the alcohol content is close to wine. I drank a sample, then tried another glass with some splanda. I am thinking...

    Can You Overfill a Corney?

Great! Thanks for the replies. It was not over the gas in tube, so I should be ok. I was just worried that with so little head room there might not be enough CO2 to get a good level of carbonation in the beer. Cheers:mug:

    Can You Overfill a Corney?

I just finished kegging my first AG Batch, and it came out a little bt over my target volume. Somewhere along the lines of 5.5 gallons. There is not a lot of head room in the keg. Will I have any problems with force carbing this batch?

To Much Pressure In Keg Question

I keep the kegs at room temp for conditioning. I am testing the pressure by bleeding of the residual charge in the regulator, turning off the CO2 supply, then hooking up the gas in hose. My other beer that is currently kegged is sitting right at 10 PSI when I check it. I am thinking there...

To Much Pressure In Keg Question

Hello All, I kegged my nut brown a couple of weeks ago. I have been keeping it at roughly 10 PSI for the conditioning phase. I check the pressure every couple of days, and the last two times that I have checked the pressure of the Nut Brown, the pressure has been upwards of 20 PSI...

    Indoor AG brewing.

Instead of going to all that trouble, why not just run a natural gas line down to the basement and hook up a stove top hood. Then you could get one of those bitchin multi directional jet burners.

    First AG Attempt

Hello All, Just completed my first AG batch last Sunday. I was shooting for an American Amber, but the batch came out a bit darker than I expected, more like a brown. This was my first attempt at an all grain, and I think things went as well as can be expected for a first run. I also...

Question from article on Brew Magazine

It may vary with what type of Extract that you are using as well. My first 4 beers were extract, and I would get quite a bit of break material. Granted I was doing a full boil and not adding any water as I brew in a keggle. It may also have to do with how hard you are boiling the...

    Auto Siphon

I bought an Auto Siphon several brews ago, and have never had good luck in getting the thing to work properly. I bought the Siphon brand new, and the 3/8 hose that the packaging indicated. Every time I try to start the siphon it goes for a minute then just stops. I've tried putting a zip tie...

How To Bottle From A Keg

Hey All, I am pretty new to homebrewing still. All I have done so far is keg. I was wondering if there is any way to bottle from a keg? I am thinking about putting together a variety six pack as Christmas gifts for friends this year. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!:mug:
