    New hop vine tattoo!

A friend of mine out of LA drew up this design and I went in yesterday and had it done after 3 1/2 hours of work!

    Legacy Hops

That does look good. I agree that the berry and the honey works well together. As far as other recipes go though, I'm not sure what I would use it for besides simple pale ales and maybe american wheats. Definitely did not care for it in my ipa but that might have been my own undoing. To my taste...

Wow that looks great! Im kind of new to the whole CDA scene but I love em. I've had Boneyards Armored Fist and Deschutes Hop in the Dark. I think this will be next on my agenda!

    Imperial Blonde Ale questions!

ha yeah thats a good one. I actually did some research and found out some people are calling styles like this blonde IPA. Very few out there to be sure but they do exist haha.

    Imperial Blonde Ale questions!

So now that I have been looking over my beersmith and after tasting the wort, I think I really went outside most styles for this beer. Should be very light in color, higher in gravity, and due to some miscalculations on beersmith around 52 IBU. Doesn't really fit for a blonde and its color is...

    Imperial Blonde Ale questions!

Well I finally was able to squeeze in a brew session before work! Brewed it up and decided to up the late addition hops. I threw in .5 oz of Centennial at the 60 then added about 3.5oz within the last 10 minutes. I also adjusted the malt and the measured OG was 1.068. I threw in 2 packets of...

    Dry hopping an American Wheat?

The honey wheat I did was great with the dry hop of legacy. Could be the yeast? I'm not sure because I've never made a Kolsch. I used Wyeast American 1010 for the honey wheat beer

    Legacy Hops

Yeah for me the hops in the IPA just created a really strange taste. The aroma almost smelled of pineapple but the flavor was just off. I definitely enjoyed Legacy more in my honey wheat with the dryhop

    Imperial Blonde Ale questions!

The only problem is that there is no baseline on the two calculators I've tried. Imperial blonde ale isn't listed and American Strong Ale is not listed either. Essentially with all of the malt and sugar the abv comes out at 8.2%. Currently my tentative hop lineup puts me at 45.8 IBU's with a...

Are you embarassed to be in the BMC isle at the store?

Caldera Brewing down in Southern Oregon makes some pretty good brews (their ipa is my favorite by far) and they lay claim to being the first micro brewery in Oregon to can their beer! It's kind of cool because their designs don't look even remotely beer-like as well, more like soda as mentioned...
