Looks like I'm basically free during the day Monday and all day Tuesday... Sunday after 8 PM is also an option. The wife can join us Sunday after 8 PM and Tuesday evening. What does everyone think?

    Hilarious CL Posting

No worries. Even sober, it's funny...

    Biodiesel

I see another thread on ethanol but is anyone making biodiesel? I just acquired 110 gallons of methanol and a source of WVO so I plan on making some soon. Looking for tips, pointers, etc.

    Costco-Beer.

Memories. My wife's grandfather used to serve this stuff. Had a head that looked (and kinda tasted) like detergent bubbles.

    Oak Barrel - 20L

In case anyone else is wondering, the one barrel manufacturer claims they have a 8 to 10 year lifespan. I know our local winery only uses a couple aging cycles before disposing of them but I'm sure it's different with beer... and I'm sure it also depends on what you specific beer(s) you age in it.

Just Completed my First Cold Crash...

I accidentally froze one batch (twice... don't ask) and the beer was outstanding.

    Anyone have a cooler wife?

Do you honestly need another reason?

Awesome. How many aging cycles do you think you'll get out of it?

    Plumbing Propane

Your local Lowes should carry the tubing fitting to connect to your pipe. The pics on my site below may help (or maybe not)... lol.

    Anyone have a cooler wife?

Probably the first time ever... and she doesn't know I've said anything nice about her. Is that still sucking up? :D

Would you brew with the possibility of power outages??

Generator... we also get hit with hurricanes. Not sure I'd start a brew session though with one expected to hit. Too many other things that can go wrong... like a tree unexpectedly entering your house. :)

    Anyone have a cooler wife?

Aside from being beautiful, fun, in shape (currently training for a mini-triathlon), great personality, loves the homebrew, helped build the brewery, likes firearms, and, since I decided to take a sabbatical from the corporate rat race, she is also supporting us with a very nice income. Probably...

    San Diego

How's the mass transit in San Diego? Probably won't get a car unless absolutely needed...

Appreciate it. Will try to squeeze at least one of these in...

Sounds like a great plan. :rockin: PM to follow...

    How long does homebrew keep?

We've had Scottish ales kegged for over a year and they were still excellent. I agree that it really depends on the beer type and storage conditions.

Cool site. The wife is actually there for a conference and I got a very cheap ticket so decided to tag along. I'll drop you a PM once I get her schedule (i.e. our schedule). :) On the beer, we're more on the malty side than the hoppy side... stouts, porters, Scotch ales, etc during the colder...

Heading there for 4 days next month and looking for input on brew pubs, things not to miss, etc. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. :mug:
