Any Atlantic Brew Supply Coupon Codes Out There?

BYO2020 shows up as invalid for me, never used it before.

Incendiary Brewing Shade of Lies Stout

I have revised my recipe and am confused about the predicted ABV. I've entered this into three different apps and all yield quite varied results ranging from 9.3% to 12.3%. Here is the grain bill. I'd like it to be reasonably close to the original which is 11.3%. If they were all within like...

    BrewCipher 6.0

Thanks for this! I have a question for you. At least one of the online calcs I've used so far also accounts for "Packaging Losses" or similar which are from the Fermenter to the bottle, keg, etc. Do you have a similar factor in yours? I've just downloaded and started messing around with it...

North Carolina Beer bottles, clean and delabeled

Have 54 cleaned and delabeled beer bottles of same size, mostly Sam Adams. Have another 18 clean but with labels. If you bottle you know what a chore it can be to sort for size and delabel. Save your time and effort as I’ve already done it for you. I moved on to kegs so no longer need. Local...

What kit to use for good Cabernet or Zinfindel?

Have you tried the Classic or Reserve kits? I am tempted to try one just to see if there is a really noticeable difference. I imagine there is, but HOW much? Tough part with wine is waiting. At least with beer it's close to instant gratification :-)

Any Atlantic Brew Supply Coupon Codes Out There?

Ya, tried it upper and lowercase as well just to see if that mattered. I have used both brewfiles and byo20 before, so that is likely the issue.

What kit to use for good Cabernet or Zinfindel?

Planning to make the Private Reserve Lodi Ranch 11 Cabernet Sauvignon Wine Kit with a buddy. Label Peelers has the best price by far that I could find on the 'net.

Weird, just tried it and said it was invalid.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Question about different hops. The only NEIPA I made was based on the OP's recipe (of this thread that is) and I used 3-Citra, 2-Mosaic and 1-Galaxy. While it came out great, I admit that I am not all that familiar with the nuances of each. How much does each of these differ or is a singular...

Incendiary Brewing Shade of Lies Stout

Hoping to get some feedback on this, even if you haven't tried the original. I picked up a 15G Brewbuilt kettle locally over the weekend so am set in that regard.

What’s The Best BIAB Kettle Size For Me

I am in the process of deciding on a bigger kettle as well. I do ~5G batches now (typically 5.5 or 5.6 into the fermenter actually) and barely have enough volume in my 10.25G kettle for around 14# of grain. I am wanting to do a batch that requires about 25# of grain and this obviously exceeds...

Incendiary Brewing Shade of Lies Stout

Has anyone had this beer? It is phenomenal. Definitely a very big beer but I want to try and make it. At the brewery it's listed as about 11.5% if memory serves. It comes in four flavors: Coffee, Coconut, Maple and a blend of all three. I prefer the Coconut version, but all are great. I am...

What kit to use for good Cabernet or Zinfindel?

This is some good info. I've brewed a fair amount of beer but only one wine kit several years ago. The wine was actually quite bad and I've never tried another, but the Winexpert kits seem to be highly rated. The one I did was a Cabernet from William's Brewing. After reading up on the...

Anyone try those cheap eBay motorized grain mills?

Point of comparison, I recently bought my first mill...the Cereal Killer from AIH. I first used it in "manual" mode and then of course quickly grew tired of that. For my second batch I grabbed my simple 12V Ridgid drill, used it on the low speed (0-350 RPM). While 350 RPM may be a little too...

8 days from bottling - Is it done fermenting?

Agreed. Only using as a visual indicator to see if/when the desired pressure is reached.

8 days from bottling - Is it done fermenting?

Just for a point of comparison, I brewed an American Stout on Dec 31 using US-05 yeast. It had slowed down considerably yesterday morning (Jan 4) as witnessed by anemic airlock activity. I transferred to the serving keg last night with hopes of natural carbonation via spunding valve, letting...
