    I was thinking about doing my first AG brew and I was wondering if there was something I can use besides a mill to crush all the grains? I dont have one and neither does my local home brew shop. I have done several PM brews where I just crushed the grains with a rolling pin. Would this work...

    I put it in the water when cold until it reached 160 degrees then I removed them. Maybe it was old/stale grains, I've never had a problem from the store I buy them from but there is always a first for everything.
