    Question before dry hopping

Probably should have asked this before I let go of the hops bag but should I have done something to make it possible for it to be agitated in some way? When I let go of it ,it sunk like a rock. Is there something I need to do to ensure a good infusion of the hop oils? Slightly rock the bucket...

    Question before dry hopping

Prior to adding the hops for the dry hopping I took a sample for my SG reading. It was 1.012@ 72*. If I am understanding things correctly that would translate to 1.022 when adjusting for temperature. Am I correct in my thinking ?

    Question before dry hopping

I am planning to dry hop my Citra pale ale today and have a question. When I opened my primary I saw that the kraeusen had left approx a 2' ring of gunk around the inside of the bucket. Should I try to wipe that out or leave it alone. I was going to leave the beer in the primary until bottling...

Thanks for the input! I'm wondering now ,how would it be if I had used the mosaic in the boil and the Citra to dry hop following the same steps? Might have to try that some time!

I've brewed a Citra pale ale that had 2oz of Magnum hops added at the beginning of the boil and then Citra added at 1/2 oz at a time starting at 20 mins left and done every 5 minutes till the end and 1oz at flame out. I have 3oz of Mosaic to dry hop this beer with. My question is this... What...

    Fermenting/conditioning/bottling timetable

Would this be true if you wanted to dry hop the beer? I currently have one, a Citra pale ale that I wane to dry hop over about a 2 week time table. In this case is it better to move the beer to a secondary to separate it from the trub. I also forgot to add the irish moss to help w/ clarification.

    Irish moss addition question

I did my 2nd brew today. The kit had all the needed ingredients. I realized an hour after putting it in the primary that I had not added the irish moss during the boil as directed. What effect will this have on my beer? I made a pale ale with alot of hops additions. I'm assuming its too late to...

    Newbie fermentation question

That's what I was figuring also. The comments about the beer being watered down was why I asked. The kits target is listed as 6.5% so with an OG of 1.065 and FG of 1.016. Wonder what I did that brought it out higher. No matter, I look forward to trying it, and if I get a good buzz in the...
