    Ya..I know.:rockin: ...but I'll rip apart the old bbq...and maybe reuse ths side burner for heating up sparge water...I image the btus will be low....but it will help. I got a good 80K burner for the keggle. Cheers.

    Thermometer for 10gal rubbermaid mash tun

    Agreed...a 12" steel probe type thermometer works well...you can stick into the mash in a few places and get a good reading...easy to clean etc. Just make sure the scale and increments are for the range you need so you can tell the diffence from 151 F and 154F.

    Hey, I found another one: http://www.grainsmaltes.com/ in Quebec. I am not sure if they speak English - I emailed them with my broken francais. They are helpful, the store has tons of stuff @ good prices. I think I will order from them this summer and let you know the results.

    You can get faucet attachements (up/down size, male/female) for about a buck each..and a section of hose for about for $0.50 cents a foot (reinforced vinyl)...I am sure you could find a solution for under $5.00 ..and teflon tape is a must to prevent leaks.....there would be no way it would work...

    I fly sparge - and found that the coleman extreme 36 qt would be ok for about 15-18 lbs of grain max.....I I moved up to the 48 qt, and can do 25 lbs no problem. My 36 qt is now used for a HLT. I find that the dimensions are not significantly bigger in the 48qt...something like 2 inches...
