I ferment in 15.5 gal sankes, about 13 gallons. Was wondering if a water cooler , 10 gallon would work.

I have been using a simple light timer for temp control with pretty good luck.The timer i have is not ideal ,because it has to go on for a 1 1/2 hour block of time minimum. It keeps cornys at about 45 if it runs twice a day.Now that ive seen this thread I might try adjusting the thermostat.

Lowest temp setting is about 110 when thermometer was wrapped in a wool sweater.Dryer also has "air fluff" setting.Now the question is ,do I run this by SWMBO before or do I just deal with the wrath of SWMBO after if the dryer stinks like hops for all eternity,which I think would be a good thing.

Could you explain why you think this wouldn't work.I would think that if the cooling and the thermostat were on the same side , and it were divided and sealed , the otherside would not be as cold. The temp could possibly be adjusted with the thickness of the divider.I'm cheap and dont want to...
