    First time closed CO2 Transfer

Bigz4ch, maybe a stupid question but did u pull the poppet or open the gas post on the keg? Otherwise, it's probably up to a bad seal on the BMB What others have discussed about feeding the gas out back into the fermentor(with the fermentor raised) works well and uses less co2. You are only...

Do you need a 1 off Stainless part built for your system? Let's discuss it.

Ah One gallon would be great for yeast capture as well Can't say I've ever seen a true canning gallon jar before. I've seen tons of others. For all practical canning purposes, gallon jars don't make sense. I doubt there are any official ball or Mason ones, unless they are older when canning was...

    The Home Made Pizza Thread

Got some of this coming Wednesday https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C4ONFMY/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 It has a mix of yeast and sourdough bacteria. Hopefully going to get me the Neo crust I've been after I'll be back at it soon for sure Threw my back out 2 weeks ago, so that slowed me down for a...

What volume of water to strike with?

I've seen the split method similar to the one you posted (small initial sparge). I always assumed it was for one reason. To flush much of the deadspace mash wort from the mlt. No other reason that I can see to do such a small sparge on any system short of a couple of gallons. Now, in a size...

Brewing in a country with alcohol prohibition

Probably more reliable results with just sneaking in some real Brewers yeast

    NEIPA approach to different styles

I've done a black neipa (bneipa, or cdneipa?). Capped the mash. 1318. I did all centennial. 2oz at 60, then another 14 from 15 to WP, plus 2 oz centennial hophash, as well as another 2 in the dryhop.(11g) I very much enjoy it. I wish I had added more, earlier in the boil to get a bit more AA...

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

Curious if you took gravity readings pre/post AJC? I'm thinking along the same lines, but unsure how much AJC is enough/too much. What sweetness level would you compare the 1.5 cans too when it comes to commercial examples? I'm planning on splitting a large batch yielding a keg and some...

What do I do with these hops? Help!

Maybe just do a stovetop back ch. Either with extract, or a paint bag and a couple pounds of two row. Boil/simmer for 30. Throw in a few hops at 15,10,5. Dump it in a growler or gallon carboy Even better, just put it in a flip top(smaller batch) Once fermentation is complete, throw in a tad bit...

On the sugar, you can add it to the boil, but IF you are using a lot AND your beer are finishing up sweet, you may want to try adding some during fermentation. There is an upside. I'm in the states and the closest Ikea is 5+ hours away. :)

    Automated Hop Addition

Sounds like one for experimental brewing/brulosophy. I don't disagree about o2. But, 30-60 minutes of exposure surely isn't going to be that huge is it? I mean, they get way more exposure between being dried to being pelleted and sealed in bales, then being resealed in #/oz bags at the resale...
