    Yeast Effectiveness question....

I would say 10-12 is about right. Just seems slow. Maybe it is the style? All the other beers I have done seemed to stay at about half of that interval through mid week.

    Anybody got a time machine?

Sounds good then.... I can't wait to bring a couple bottles back to my father in a coupel weeks. He owns a packasge store (wine mostly, but he has one of CT's largest craft brew sections) and I like bringing bottles into the store. SOme of his employees and distributors try them, and are very...

    Yeast Effectiveness question....

I am using White Labs British Ale yeast on a porter I brewed last weekend. I took it out of my refrigerator to let it warm up a little, while I was just in the boil. Now, at this time, my drunken friend thinks a good idea to shake it all up. Would that have any effect on how well the yeast...

    Homebrew Beer Labels

I always like this, I get the added bonus of cleaning my tub. Hell, it's the only time it gets cleaned, when I need to remove labels. (good thing I drink alot, right?)

    Brewing Degree?

I would love to go to Australia. There is a program there that offers a Masters degree in Brewing Science. I am a fairly recent college grad. I plan to spend the next few years learning as much as I can about running my own business, and look to open up a brewpub of my own eventually. Of...

I have bought from both Homebrew Heaven and Midwest Supplies. However, I found a brew shop in Columbia, Maryland. www.mdhb.com (Maryland Homebrew) It is a great place, with some realy friendly and very knowledgeable people. Needed some supplies on a Sunday (realized it at 4.30 and they...

    My HomeBrew Site

Hmm, well perhaps we can think of some sort of "reliability rating" for the beers. I guess it would be more for the brewers. We could rate the members based upon their number of recipes brewed, tasting notes, etc. Perhaps even allow members to rate brews the made off another's recipe. Another...

    Of interest: Beer Harmony

Slightly off-topic, but I did the test and then went to the DuClaw brewing website. Did anyone see the flash demo they had that outlined the process of brewing beer? I thought it was pretty aweseome and very well put together. Go to this link: http://www.duclaw.com/ourbeers.asp; and click...

Janx, I would be very appreciateive of suggestions/ideas. Coming up with design/functional use of a site is always the easy part for me. It is usually the content that I like having ideas. El Pistolero, I would love to hear more about what you have been working on. I will get in touch...

    My HomeBrew Site

I have been to that site several times to browse around. And you arre right, the interface is not the greatest. I was thinking that it might be a useful tool mostly for tracking one's own brews. But, I see no reason why there could not be a functionality for searching through others as well.
