low range CO2 regulator for fermenter?

Very cool! Thanks for the fitting list also. Do you typically still use a blowoff tube and then transition to the Carboy cap?

low range CO2 regulator for fermenter?

I noticed in another thread that you mentioned you use this for glass fermenters. I was curious how do you have your EVAbarrier tubing terminated at the carboy? This is quite awesome! Cheers!

    Drilling lubricant

I used coconut oil to drill holes in my kettles. Worked pretty well. Just did soap and water clean-up, then acetone to prep before soldering. But you could skip the acetone if you are doing weldless. Would definitely recommend tungsten carbide hole saw. Bobby (brewhardware) sells them for common...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

This is referring back to my question post #1269. I was following day_trippr's steps outlined in #1270. I originally configured everything through the web interface. It's been running pretty consistently for several months, but if the RPi reboots, the arduinos scramble in Fermentrack. The...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

So 2 months later and I'm finally getting to this. I followed through day_trippr's steps and I'm just getting hung up on the last set of steps. I'm guessing that's because the file structure with fermentrack is set up differently. When running the following it states the directory doesn't exist...

    Inline aeration (not oxygenation)

I can sketch something for you. What's your tubing set up look like now? Can you upload a photo or a simple sketch?

    Inline aeration (not oxygenation)

You could try putting a venturi right at where you have the tee for the air stone and air pump hose. That would drop the pressure at that point and help draw the air in. Essentially give the air pump a boost.

Acquired some frozen cherries.....do I have to pit 'em before use?

That's a great idea for pasteurizing fruit additions! I'm going to steal that!

Acquired some frozen cherries.....do I have to pit 'em before use?

From what I've read, leaving the stones in stone fruits provides additional depth. I don't have any direct experience with it though. Tonsmiere talks about it a bit in American Sour Beers: "Some brewers treasure the character that cherry pits add to beer, often described as woody or...

    Temperature Issues

Some brew days just go like that. But just think back on all the innovative things you did to make it work in the end! Innovating to make it work, cleaning, innovating to make cleaning less work, and drinking beer are what make homebrewing what it is. In regards to the elevated temp, for that...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I have a multi-chamber set up (4 chambers) with a Raspberry Pi and Arduinos. Has anyone else had issues with anytime the Raspberry Pi reboots, the chambers get scrambled? I'm wondering if it's an issue with the serial auto-detection? My current work around is plugging in each controller one at a...

    Low Enzymatic/Cold Mash/Low alcohol beer

Fair point. Could be interesting to try a similar style using both methods. The OG for the hot mash could be bumped up slightly to get closer to the 1.5% abv that's been reported with the cold mash procedures in this thread so far to get a closer. The hot mash article was reporting 0.5%-0.8%ABV...

    Low Enzymatic/Cold Mash/Low alcohol beer

Very interesting read. For those who want to read just the last page of the book here is the summary document that's at the end of the article.

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Thank you both! I’m traveling today but will give that a try when I get home. Edit: The patch worked. I’ve got up and running now. Thanks Thorrack!

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Hi, I'm picking my build up after 4 years of stagnation (life). There's been a heck of a lot done since then! Thanks for all the hard work! Anyway, I did a clean install of Raspbian Buster on my Pi 2. Then I went through the Fermentrack install using the single command fully automated method...
