    Yeah the beer tasted like an hop tea :P How did I mix it? I just added it to the fermenter. Why didnt I add the hops to the wort?Basically boiling hops in another pot containing some of the kit extract will definitely reduce the mess. Interesting though that you're saying, that 3,5 ounces...

    I just made 22l of Coopers Australian Lager, with a hop tea(Boiled 20g of Cascade for 10 mins).After adding it to the beer it tasted rather tea-like.Did the extract came out too strong, i.e I should've made the hop tea with like 10g of Cascade or something? Damn I hope the beer turns out fine.

    Yea could be hop haze.. Nothing to worry about, just let it sit in the fridge and it should clear eventually. And if the beer tastes good, who cares about the clearness :d, bottoms up!

    Well if you want carbonated, sweet cider, the only way to do this properly in my opinion, is like you mentioned above, pasteurise it before it ferments dry and then keg it. But maybe u can use different yeast, that doesn't ferment for example above 3%(if there exists such yeast) so the sugars...

    Yeah, I agree with above posters, that you should'nt definitely do the primary fermentation outside, because the temperature varies pretty drastically during day and night. Lagering on the other hand ... ?
