Any TIG welders that can help me?

Probably 1/4in, I’ll mic it tomorrow and and get get more pics with a better relation to size. So cranked the amps to 130 and it worked well just heated the everliving piss out of the material and tungsten.

Any TIG welders that can help me?

I noticed today in just running puddles (no filler) that no matter how long I sit there with the arc going the puddle isn't getting very wide. I adjusted my torch height to where the cone is more the puddle size needed, the arc becomes erratic or I loose the arc. I'm running at 100amps verified...

Any TIG welders that can help me?

I tried a lap joint today with 16ga scraps, yeah wasn’t pretty by any means. Going to clean up some thicker scraps while I wait for gas and retry. I’m tempted to see how this TIG works on my Trailblazer 275 vs the Dialarc...I have long enough leads.

Any TIG welders that can help me?

I’ve watched numerous videos of Jody’s and subscribed to his email TIG “crash” course. Have also watched quite a few of “Mr TIGs” videos. I watch several videos a day, take notes, get about an hour 3-4 days a week of seat time, most of that is spend cleaning and re-grinding the tip. Gets old but...

Any TIG welders that can help me?

The question is what is causing the weld to be so narrow? The height is about normal for a Stick/MIG. It's a scratch start so still trying to get the hang of starting stopping while keeping shielding gas on the weld. I'll try running lower amps and moving slower This is all just pratice, not...

Any TIG welders that can help me?

I recently setup my stick welder for TIG. I've never TIG welded before, done plenty of Brazing, Stick and MIG. This is the welder and the AMPS setting I've been using, it's running as DCEN. Using 100% Argon at 20 cfh, 3/32 Red Tungsten rods, 3/32 filler, using a number 8 cup with the screen...

Who do you order your beer kits from?

I've used quite a few from Northern Brewer (pre InBev) and the rest have come from Austin Homebrew.

Thank you Anvil for making me even lazier

With 90deg tap water in the summer chilling takes forever even with a pre chiller. I have heavily considered no chill. Planning on buying a Anvil or Ss Brewtech.

What I did for beer today

Made a all grain batch of starter wort and pressure canned it, 21 pints of 1.080 wort, 80 oz of 1.040 wort, and 5 pints of pressure canned RO water. The 1.080 just add a pint jar of sterile water and you have a 1.040 starter. The 1.040 is for rousing older yeast just add water to make a small...

    BrewBoss controlled Blichmann BrewEasy

Finally got to brew again, family life has become very busy. Ran it in auto mode worked very well and without a problem. Just set your temp controller the few degrees higher you need for target mash temp.

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Snuck in a Bo Pils Partial mash while the toddler took a 3.5 hour nap. Poor guy has been sick all week he needed the rest and daddy needed the beer. I like to keep an extract or partial mash on hand for those let’s try to squeeze in a brew today moments. I buy them when they are super cheap on...

    BrewBoss controlled Blichmann BrewEasy

I had my second run with the BrewEasy, brewed the AHS Texas Bock. Worked great, still in manual mode, but taking notes for a program. I did do something a tad different and loved the turn out. I heated all the water in the brew kettle then attached the hose to the mash tun valve. Then filled the...
