Maybe you could post the two images, and those of us with some Photoshop experience could give it a shot.

Une Terreur Sainte (A Holy Terror)

Add me to the chorus of congratulations. Can we ask about your process? What kind of paper/printer, how are they affixed, etc.

    [extract] Seattle Pale Ale

Thinking of putting together my own recipe for a Northwest-style, hoppy pale ale next week. How does this sound? Mom's Seattle Pale Ale Beer Profile Est Original Gravity: 1.053 SG Est Final Gravity: 1.012 SG Estimated Alcohol by Vol: 5.4 % Bitterness: 31.9 IBU Est Color: 3.9 SRM...

    Porter Kit question

Hm. Seems a litte weak to me. The final gravity seems high for the style. Works out to only 3.675% ABV, if your numbers and my calculation is correct. How many pounds were in that can of dark LME? Try moving to a warmer area - the increase in temp and gentle agitation involved in the...

st. peter's old style porter clone

Well, add me to the "me too" chorus. I bought a couple of bottles from Total Wine & Beverage near me, and it's one of the best porters I've ever had! Word of warning, though - I bought it for the cool bottle, too, and that label is a witch to remove. Had to resort to Goof-Off.

    Keeping beer light (in color)

Thanks, guys. This is all great advice! I think I'll put together my own NW pale ale recipe, rather than buy a kit. Some extra pale DME, some hops from Washington state, and I'll look through some books to figure out if/what kind of steeping grains to use. One more question - some of...

Buying new widgets - any reviews?

But surely you can remove the straps before you empty/clean the carboy? I figured they were easy on/easy off. If not, then I totally see your point.

Sounds good. What if I'm using LME?

    Keeping beer light (in color)

Probably going to fire up and brew a NW pale ale next week, and I was hoping for some advice. I've read on here about keeping some of the extract in reserve, adding it during the last 10 or 15 minutes of the boil in order to avoid carmelization. Supposedly this keeps the beer from getting a...

Buying new widgets - any reviews?

Yes, that's my question. You guys have sold me on the caps, so they're going in my shopping cart. But like I said, I lug my full carboy downstairs when I need to rack to secondary, or bottle, etc. The carboy hauler looked like a good way to hold the thing steady and not kick up the trub into...

Buying new widgets - any reviews?

Well, with my second brew almost completely done, I've got a desire to buy a few little odds'n'ends to make my brewing life easier. Could y'all answer some questions I have about this equipment? Are these really as cool as they sound? Throw one on top of your carboy, plug one hole with...

    Second beer, first label

Put together with Photoshop Elements. The plan is to recycle the template for each new brew. The little logo at the bottom will change, though. I'm thinking a mountain or evergeen tree for my NW pale ale, a Union Jack for an English bitter, etc.

    Second Batch - Robust Porter

2/15/07 - Racking to secondary Took some time this afternoon to rack from the primary to the secondary. I must say, I'm getting tired of lugging that full carboy out of the spare bathroom (my dark, temp-controlled environment) down to the kitchen for siphoning work. I should look into one...

Clear glass bottles - how bad are they?

Update on this old thread. I bottled my first batch in some PET bottles I got as a Christmas gift, but I did fill one of these Ikea bottles and let it carbonate. No problems whatsoever. The seam in the glass held, and I got good carbonation. I plan on buying lots more!

    Second Batch - Robust Porter

Well, we're at Brew Day + 3 now. The kreusen has mostly fallen back into the beer, and bubbles pop up through the airlock about once or twice a minute now. Seems like that's a little slow... The beer has been kept at a constant 70 to 72 degrees, in a dark closet. Is the fermentation stuck...

Beer Kits: Austin Homebrew vs. Northern Brewer

So, I'm placing an order for some odds'n'ends my LHBS lacks, and figured I'd pick up a beer kit or two. Austin Homebrew Supply and Northern Brewer both seem to have decent prices and customer service. So, any opinions on the kits available? AHS has something called "Gold Seal" kits (see...

    Second Batch - Robust Porter

Brewed my second batch ever last night. First batch (see thread further down) was a mild success. The ingredients were cut-rate, but the process was successful. The resulting ale is drinkable if not quaffable. It really improves if chilled to near freezing. :D Last night, I started...
