    Keeping temperature outside

Its also nice if you carbonate it slowly (2 weeks at 12psi kind of thing) then pour off a pint and dump it. After that, all of the beer should be nice and clear. Then you do not need to worry about laying it down or standing it up. I have one of those huge white coolers from Costco.. I've stood...

    Beer Pump for bottle filler

Actually.. now that I read the chart at the bottom, the PSI out is really high. I am not sure you want to try to fill a bottle at that high of PSI.. not sure if thats adjustable or not.

    Beer Pump for bottle filler

Well, from reading it... I would say it works great with carbonated beer: - Accepts Pressurized Beverages into Pump - Adds additional pressure to beer system without altering CO2 volumes or introducing new gases to beer. - Maintain high pressures in long runs without experiencing...

    Simplest (?) Keggle Cutting Jig

You will tear through disks quicker.. but I found that things went faster when I took the guard off and went at it. You can go slow and a disk will last a keg or so... or go really fast (cut it in 2 - 3 rotations) and burn through a disk per keg. I did both, but if you just plan to buy a few...

    Simplest (?) Keggle Cutting Jig

I love it! I just did 6 of them using 2x4's and a 2" hitch ball for the center piece.. and I think this is probably 100x easier. Nicely done =)

    Man, I love Apfelwein

Oh yeah, worth a shot for sure! I do like the color it has, and I think it will look great in wine bottles (when I buy a corker.. and have time to bottle it!)

    Man, I love Apfelwein

Sure, I just followed the regular recipe, but I swapped out 1 gallon for 1 gallon of all natural Black Cherry juice that I picked up Sprouts. To be honest, the last time I tasted it, I am not sure there was enough flavor there to justify the cost. Maybe the flavor will come out a little more...

    Custom Refrigerator

You may need some area around the keg for air to flow.. and probably want a fan in there to keep air moving. Guess the positive side of a single keg system is that you could tape the sensor to the side of the keg and your beer temp should stay within a couple degrees of desired temp!

    Custom Refrigerator

The corney sits outside of the jockey box... and ice goes in the box. Beer flows through lines inside of the box and comes out cold. However, you still need to carb your kegs (harder to do warm) and you need to keep putting ice in and taking water out (not something I would want to do all the...

    Man, I love Apfelwein

Leave it.. I left mine in there for 3.5 months before kegging it, and I have another batch in the primary for 4 months (as of next week I think it is). Tastes great!!

    Your Best Brewing Tip?

HAHA, I think that is going to make it into my signature =)

Wynonas Got a Big Brown Bitter

That would be my only concern, I cannot think of a malty-roasty brew that had any citrusy character to it. Not saying there isnt one, I just cannot think of one that I have had. I think this would give you a pretty decent chocolatey/malty flavor (and the molasses will be good I think!). Either...

Primus! But... no real input on the recipe =)

    Great HOP pricing going on!

Yay! You will like that for sure! I was going to do this, but the food saver thing is not really good at small bags. You always lose like 1" of baggie each time you seal (unless there is some trick I am missing here..) and those rolls go fast enough when you are using it for food =) The...

    Great HOP pricing going on!

I went with jars and the jar attachment. The pint sized jar holds a half pound of pellet, then a few seconds to seal the lid and write on the top and I was done.

American Pale Ale Bluegrass Pale Ale

ArtsAles brewed this up and brought it to my wedding... this was the first keg to float. Very good brew!

Possible mash tun / boil kettle. Please look and give me your opinion.

Looks like a home made brew kettle.. not pretty, but if it holds water, then go for it! I wouldn't worry about the welds, as cvstrat said, its going to be boiled, so it doesn't matter.

    Group buy: grain mill

Subscribed to this thread.. as I am also in the market for a grain mill. I was originally planning on the Barley Crusher with the 15lb hopper.. but I am open to some other options!

    glass bottle to plastic?

I keg, so I usually just grab some cheap 1 liter bottles of soda water.. dump the water, fill with beer. Works great. My dad always bottled beer, and he would bottle up a couple 1 and 2 liter bottles of ever batch. This way, he would have beer to take to places like this. Obviously, it takes...

How long does an ale pail last?

Thanks for the pictures on the spigot, I never knew they came apart like that (guess I have been lucky so far!). I usually take my bucket right after use and rinse out the cake from the bottom.. stick it in the bathtub and fill the bucket to the top with 1 scoop oxy clean and hot water. Let...
