I got an email this morning as well confirming I’m all good with the update. I also saw the apple app is back up on test flight....so still no official App Store apple app yet. When you say you haven’t had a boil over, do you use fermcap?

I always do as well but would really like to set it and come back to cooled wort vs waiting for the boil to start. Is fermcap effective if you add it early? My zymatic only gets up to 207F so I didn’t have any issues with it boiling over.

Brew went well. Boil was very vigorous....enough so I added a couple drops of fermcap just in case. Have you ever had a boil over? That’s my concern with leaving it alone unattended. I wish the progress counter would provide feedback of where it is at with each step in time vs %. Also...

First brew going well and still in process. Doing a daisy cutter clone with the 600 micron mash basket.

Yes, I’m running 3.1 now. Regarding the graphics comment....I just meant everything looks pretty but doesn’t run rock solid. Nothing major just a little annoying. I would suggest putting in a ticket for the update they seemed to do something that allow mine to update on the first try.

Thanks for the apple update. Marcel emailed me this morning and said that they were showing that my unit only looked for an update once before and to make sure that I was close enough to my router. I am only 10 feet from my router and it’s a brand new mesh style router so I know I’m close...

Mine still wouldn't download the update but seems to be ok otherwise. I have a ticket in for that. I'm going to try to get my first brew in this weekend.....also have the 600 micron brew basket I'm going to try out. I went to check to see if the apple app was updated yet and opened it on my...

Mine did not update but did start with the previous version. Successfully brewed the test recipe last night and all went well. How many degrees does the hop tanks bring up the batch temp when drained? In the small test batch it was significant and was wondering if people undershoot the cool...

Just powered mine on, it searched for updates and booted up but still shows 3.0.16

Thanks for posting all the pictures of your fan setup. Much appreciated. As for connection/update. My initial startup which included connecting to wifi took me like 7-8 tries to connect which makes me wonder if this is a wifi controller issue? I assume you dont have a wired connection handy...

Yeah, I had a extra cold water hose bib plumbed in for my chiller on my other system so I have my supply water coming off of that. I ordered a 2-way splitter so I can add the pressure reducer to my brewie supply and have the other one unrestricted. I’ll see how that goes.

If the water should not have been that high, I’m thinking it might be my high water pressure. I measured it and it’s right around 80psi, so I was planning on picking up a pressure reducer before I test again. I thought I read somewhere that high pressure could be a problem. I know it’s not...

Yeah, didn’t see the test brew.... I just ran one of the included recipes w/o the ingredients

Also, if you need to change breakers/wiring, add a GFCI outlet or breaker. My first experience with the recipe crafter left a lot to be desired. I like to see everything on one page. I have a Zymatic which has its own recipe crafter issues but better than building it from the units screen...

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

No, after I read it back it I can see your point. Lol. I was first thinking of not adding the fan as a variable to see what a full brew day would be like minus the fan but ending up saying screw it, I have it and it’s out of my way and easy.

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

I have a window in the back of my basement that that is the same size as the window my hood was hooked up to above my kettle so I was able to remove the hood place the fan on the floor slide open the window and place my dryer vent totally out of site of my brewing area. So this solution works...

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

Brew went well. Smell was much much better with it drained to my sump. I did run an exhaust fan with the flexible ductwork positioned next to the sump so I’m sure that helped. I’m just glad I have a hoodless low odor solution.
