    1st brew, Caribou Slobber concerns!

Everything is normal. I always like to let things sit a minimum of 21 days before bottleing. Helps ensure fermentation is done, helps clear, etc. I've always done AG, but maybe extract finishes sooner? Order another kit or two. Enjoy your new obsession! Sent from my iPad using Home Brew

    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

Yep, easy and fun! I just did their bomber barley wine. Def not the best barley wine, but for 12$ to yield a 10% BW, not too bad. Gonna let it sit a while, but it seems an affordable way to get my barley wine fix as I let my AG bakery wine age! Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Everything Brooklyn Brewshop

I'd let it sit at least two more weeks. I love BBS but I think their schedule is off. It works, but I think was made that to look that way to be more appealing to new customers. I feel it's harder, but safer and more tasty to wait a bit, especially with an imperial. Sent from my iPad using...

    Clearing time

There is not a ton of head space really. The room is dark, but, what looks like empty space is actually cleared cider. I'll try the enzyme, can't hurt! Sent from my iPad using Home Brew

    Clearing time

I have done none of the above. Like I said, I don't have much experience with cider. Like I said, it's been sitting in one spot for past 7 months. Thank you for advice. Which option would you recommend most? Also, would transferring to secondary help? Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Clearing time

I mostly brew beer, but every now and then like to experiment with cider. So, in September I made a 2.5 gal batch of fresh, local cider. I added nutrient and safale 04. I noticed yesterday it's finally starting to clear. The first few inches has cleared. Used a thief to sample it and freshen up...

    Christianity and home brewing

Yes! I think my brother and I forced our pastor father into being very accepting of such things. I'm sleeved out on both arms and legs, brew beer, and play on our churches worship team. My brother owns Fuzion Vapor, which is a pretty popular juice company for e-cigs. Sent from my iPad using...

I think pappers has done a good job keeping us focused and bringing us back to the main point. From what I've observed, most home brewer are pretty chill, friendly, and LOVE talking about brewing. I know when ppl at church and work ask me questions, I end up talking their ear off. I think when...

    Christianity and home brewing

My buddy at church who I found out is a brewer when I tried to get this HB group started had an interesting idea. He wanted our group to develop a recipe together and enter it into a local HB contest. We missed the mark last year, but hope to do it this year. He's a pretty good brewer and has...

    Christianity and home brewing

The groups goal was to bring people together for fellowship. We actually said, "this is not a religious gathering but rather a time for people to develop a relationship " . Our church has had a lot of new people my age (30ish) who don't really know each other, so the groups goal was to connect...
