    bottling sux

Kegging is the best thing i did. Don't get me wrong i didn't mind bottling but kegging saves time and in the long run(i think) money. The only time i bottle now is when someone wants to try my beer. But remember brewing is something to be savored almost as much a dinking brew, take your time and...

Put a blackboard on your keg!

Great idea! I just started doing this today on 6 of my kegs(I still have 3 to go) and it looks awesome. I used brushed on paint instead of spray paint and i stil have another coat to put on but its looking amazing so far and it's cheap to boot.

Most cost-effective place to buy kegs?

I agree with abracadabra homebrewing.org is a good site to get kegs at a good price. Keep in mind they are used kegs but they are pressure tested so they are in working order. A good bit of time they run for about $20.00 a piece which ain't bad. I get all my kegs from them. They have good...

    Corona Bottles Won't Seal

I'm not sure if this is why because i've never had Corona because of to many warnings i've gotten from other people, but the problem may be that Corona is a twist offvcap which would not seal as well as bottles that require a bottle opener.

    Yuengling- Who's tried it?

I'm just bored and curious who has tried Yuengling and what they thought about it. I've been drinking it for years and in my opinion its a decent beer, not the best but not the worst. Most of the time I find people like it but I have yet to find someone who says it's their favorite. I'm from PA...

    Guiness!!!...wtf?

Guinness is an excellent beer, tops in my book other than my own! Hundreds of years of successful production is proof of that. If you feel that it has no flavor then your probably spending to much time trying to be a beer snob than enjoying the smooth texture and robust flavor it has. The...

    Some tips for growing hops

Another great thing to do if your an all grain brewer and you have room, you can start a compost pile with the spent grains. After a few months of sitting your spent grains can be put on the hop mounds. They brake down and add excellent nutrients to the soil helping your hops grow.
