My hops'll beat up your hops!!

Those are some huge arse cones, but you know what they say, it's not the size of the cone that counts it's how you use it.:mug:

    Yeast Starter vs. Yeast Activator

I make starters. I personally think it's the way to go. It may be more work but it's more control and more time you can spend on your hobby. If life was easy all the time it wouldn't be worth living so do the extra work and reap the rewards.

    What got you into homebrewing?

+1 on chics digging brewers. Even though im not sure if i've found one yet. That and the Sam Adams longshot contest comercial. I think it's funny 'cause i can't stand Jim Koch now, he seems so fake.

Yeah buddy!! I love the Sunday Session. It's full of information and hysterical too. Jamill is very informative. I love the Brewing Network probably too much.

How many batches have you brewed?

I've been brewing since last March and gotten a good amount of brews under my belt, something like 125, somewhere along those lines. I've brewed every weekend and twice every other weekend for a long time and throughout the week sometimes too. I've done about 15 ten gallon batches and i think i...

If you could work in the beer industry

Im a cook and i get payed quite well for what I do but i cant stand where I work. I enjoy most of the people I work with and what I do quite thoroughly. But all the Bull just wears you down. I think that even with the paycut you would be able to make it, you may have to cut back in other things...

    Anheuser Busch ...

+1 on that. I know a bunch of people who don't drink beer because the only beer they know is BMC or one of the many other sub-par beers. I usually try to get theses people to try my brews and the response is overwhelmingly in favor of my stuff. It's a shame that so many have made their drinking...

    Got Cones?

I have crazy hops growing on my 2nd year fuggles. I'm pumped. Unfortunately all my first years are coneless, but they're growing great which is the important thing.

    Cost to brew?

I think there are to many variables to ask that question like that, but I think i do save money. If you really enjoy doing it you shouldn't worry about the money at all and enjoy yourself. I ain't saying to go and blow your whole paycheck on brewing and not pay your mortgage though.:drunk:

Desperate for help with a High Gravity Saison !

I think you should try pitching a yeast with a higher alcohol tolerence if you want it to dry out

    College students might have something!

So you know how at college parties they tend to use those plastic cups. Well I have a large amount at my house for some reason so I figured i would have one of my beers in it instead of my tulip glasses or my stein so i wouldn't have more dishes to do. I drank and noticed my beer tasted even...

    Getting huge?

My one fuggles is getting huge. I'm growing two shoots (or chutes) The one is over 20 ft. tall and i have ran out of room for it to grow. I think i will try to put an extension that connects to my house which will add about 20 ft. which probably won't be needed but will be3 good to have the...

    Swirling your beer?

I don't usually swirl my beer, I usually have some good head retention while brewing so I don't require it, since a lot of the hop aroma is released from the head. :off: After wathching their DVD my brother and I always quote these guys while brewing more as a joke than anything,l but it always...
