    Damn priming sugar....

I'm willing to bet on a college campus you could find glass bottles for free as opposed to $8 a case. I thought to prime it was 3/4 cup od corn sugar made into a simple syrup with equal amounts of water, then the simple syrup was added to your racked beer for bottling. Is that right?

    First Time Brewer Question

I am new to brewing too, but I got into it recently because my friend in the neighborhood brewed an Anhor Steam replica, which I believe is the same as a California Common. Anyway, his brew seemed 'yeasty', but I enjoy the yeast character/flavor. I had also read that the sulfur smell is...

    Strange Brew

Well alright, thank you for the quick response. I went to a brewery in Nantucket (Cisco Brewery) and they used a champagne like bottle that I assume after your email must have been a 22 oz. bottle and I just thought it was much cooler than the regular old 12 oz. bottle. I am getting really...

    Strange Brew

I am completely new to home brewing. I helped one of my neighbors bottle his last batch of beer and he had a lot of information to share. I'm excited to get started, but I thought I would read and get informed before I set up my home brewery. I would love to get some thoughts on what type...
