    What are you drinking now?

Sierra Nevada northern hemisphere harvest ale. I'm really liking the citrus on this. Moved on to my home brewed RIS, pretty good.:drunk:

I added heavy cream to my wort!

He said cinnamon and spice at one point... not sure what else was added. I would add rum. With all the other additions what could it hurt? :rockin: Good luck.

I added heavy cream to my wort!

Good on you! Thanks.I would make sure you are supervised while trying this... fugue state hangover style is what I imagine after sipping this... He mentioned 20 oz dried banana and 2 lbs of dark brown sugar after primary. He also said "some spices"

    Help.

What was the recipe? How much honey did you add? Too many additions can throw the balance of your brew off.

    Extract or all grains

I started with extract. I wanted to focus on ferm temps, yeast starters, and sanitization. I personally felt going AG would introduce more variables than I wanted to worry about until I was comfortable with the process. Water PH, mash temp, strike water temp... I would recommend extract for...

    Gushers

Could the bottle brush be scratching the interior of your PET bottles? Scratches could contain bugs. I soak my PET bottles and brush the glass. Good luck on future batches. :mug:

Do I really need to boil all my water?

I bought a $30 filtrete carbon water filter for my kitchen tap. No issues in my brews with top off water. I figure if your water is good enough to drink it is good enough to top off with.

Mr Beer - Read all about it and ask questions

Check out screwybrewers priming sugar calculator. Its the only one I found that would calculate by tablespoon or weight. http://www.thescrewybrewer.com/p/brewing-tools-formulas.html At two gallons you should be closer to 4 tablespoons for cane sugar. I use one cup of water for a two gallon...

Mr Beer - Read all about it and ask questions

I wouldn't try to push the keg at 2.5 gallons with no head space and no blow off tube. You can google up some pictures of blown Mr Beer kegs. My next upgrade will be a 3 Gallon better bottle for fermenting. That way I can split 5 gallon kits or beersmith my own 2.5 gallon recipes. Good...
