    Help: 50 A 3 Element RIMS

Thanks Augie, funny thing is I read that entire thread the other night after a couple pints and I'm not sure how I forgot about it :mug:. I think I wrote it off because it was a 30 A setup. At this point I am definitely going with 50 A in an effort to future proof my setup. I'm gonna read...

    Help: 50 A 3 Element RIMS

Wow, that looks great. I really wasn't thinking about BCS at all because I thought it looked a little too hands off for me. However, the ability to have that much control over the entire process is very appealing. Luckily I'm not making this decision quickly and will likely obsess over this...

    Help: 50 A 3 Element RIMS

Wow, thanks for the quick responses. Made the mistake of posting this before parent teacher conferences and I'm getting slammed. Apparently kids don't like physics anymore! I hadn't thought about altering the BCS design to use PIDs instead. I'll certainly look into it. I should've made...

    Help: 50 A 3 Element RIMS

After a long (a little too long) hiatus from HBT to finish my entire basement I am back, and have caught the electric brew indoors bug. I've searched high and low and cannot find exactly what I am looking for so I figured I would put this out there. Here are my goals: -I will likely...

A Simple Garage Collar Keezer With Magnetic Drip Tray

Thank you for posting, I am thinking of using this exact same freezer as well! You've given me some great ideas on how to make my project work for my (in progress) bar build! Not that I ever plan to fill to capacity (I bet that will come back to bite me), but any chance you know how many ball...

Got free bottles to give away? Post 'em here!

I have probably 6(note: I didn't count) cases of empty, probably a little dusty, many commercial bottles free to a good home. Many have had labels peeled, the rest have just been set aside and never used for homebrew since my switch to kegging. Local pickup.

    Show us your Kegerator

It is a fridge, holds 6 corneys. The wood is screwed into the fridge and freezer doors. The wood is attached to a small wooden frame around the rest of the fridge to allow for some airflow. This is hardly air tight and I've noticed zero effect on my cooling.

    Show us your Kegerator

Just finished up the kegerator by wrapping it with some barn wood...managed to bust a quick disconnect in the tap switchover and am dealing with a slight line freezing issue. Other than that I'm pretty happy so far, just need a 19" drip tray and I'm all set. Oh, and someone with prettier...

    At the hospital

Just got my 10 month old down for his morning nap, about to go keg 10 gallons I brewed a few weeks ago after his bed time. If you want to make it work, you'll make it work. I wish I could say I've kept my pipeline up, but I haven't at times. It hasn't bothered me a bit and I've been brewing...

Show Me Your Wood Brew Sculpture/Rig

Amazon had them a few weeks ago for around $42 and I had some leftover "shop with points" from my credit card, putting it at $35 for me.

Show Me Your Wood Brew Sculpture/Rig

Thanks...worked very well today, despite the frozen hose for the wort chiller. Under the burners I have some 1/8" thick aluminum sheets with holes...found them laying around in a trash pile...yeah I'm that guy!

Show Me Your Wood Brew Sculpture/Rig

Just finished up my wooden brew rig last night. The only thing it cost me was $35 for the HLT burner. I received the kegs and weldless bulkheads for Christmas. I was hoping to go with a single tier metal rig, but I couldn't beat the cost of my wood rig! Everything else was gathered from...

    Hoppo's E-Brewery Build

I'll need to cut the lid off the two I got for Christmas. The jig would be awesome, I already have an angle grinder from harbor freight and appropriate discs from my first keg. Do you have a step bit yet? I'm just doing bulkheads and dip tube for my HLT and boil kettle for now, sight glasses...

Man, I should've jumped in on an order at Brewhardware with you! Converting a couple of kegs myself...everything is looking awesome, keep up the good work!

    Possible pump for brewing?

Yes the price was free, we had three of them lying around. I've tried contacting the manufacturer, but I'm still waiting for a reply. I guess I am hopeful that someone will recognize the pump, but I'm not concerned if it doesn't work out.

    Possible pump for brewing?

I know better than to post this, but the price is right on these pumps I found at work. What do you think? Any possible uses or this other than to recirculate ice water through my wort chiller? It is only 12v so I'd need a power supply, so probably not even worth it. I'm sure it'd be an even...
