    When to transfer to keg?

Hey guys, brewing my very first batch. It's a coopers irish stout that's currently at 2 weeks in the fermenter. The airlock is still bubbling verrrrry slowly (several minutes between bubbles). I'll be serving from a keg in my keezer. I was wondering when I should transfer to the keg? When...

    Kenmore 8.8 keezer rust problems

Has anyone had issues with rust forming on the interior of their keezers? There're small rust spots forming in the corners of the main interior bottom area. I have a dehumidifier and fan but water frequently collects on the walls and bottom of the keezer. I'm not sure if it's just hawaii thing...

    homebrew kit?

hey guys, i'm new to home brewing and stopped by my local home brew shop today. they've got this kit available for first-timers: http://www.homebrewinparadise.com/Beer.aspx?cattype_id=1&cat_id=3&subcat_id=14 does that seem like a pretty good deal for $160? the only thing i might not use is...

    TSX3 love controller

what are ALL your settings? the tricky thing about the tsx3 is you can either control strictly based on temp or you can do a whole lot more with minimum run times, minimum off times, etc etc. there's a whole crapload of settings. pls post each and every one of your settings. that's the...

Can A Keezer Double as a Fermentation Chamber???

are you heating the fermentation side with something?

Can A Keezer Double as a Fermentation Chamber???

no matter how much insulation you put, given enough time the temperature inside the fermentation box would equalize with that of the keezer. it needs a separate control for modulating its temperature. the light bulb is one way to do it. but then you essentially have a heater INSIDE your...

GE mini fridge conversion (gone wrong)

that seems like a lot of work you're doing when you don't even know if it will still function.. i haven't read of anyone succesfully fixing a cracked coolant line. best of luck tho.

    Ebay Aquarium Temp Question

putting the probe in water will reduce temp swings. 1* is a pretty small window to set for your temp. it's your choice if you want to keep such tight temp control but it will greatly reduce the life of your compressor.

magnets & brackets for drip tray

are any brackets made of ferrous metals? I was thinking a magnet in the drip tray would make it easy to attach the tray to the bracket. thanks for all the feedback so far. did you guys just go with 2 brackets? it's a pretty wide tray so it wouldn't look too bad with more if necessary. the...

magnets & brackets for drip tray

i'm looking at using this drip tray for my keezer build: http://barsupplies.com/stainless-steel-drip-tray-p-349.html how many brackets/magnets and what sizes do you need to securely mount the tray to the keezer so it's strong enough to support a full glass or two? i do not want to modify/alter...

Timer to control temps in a fridge?

I converted a freezer to use a fridge using a timer. Had it running for more than a year that way. It was being used to keg though so I didn't need very precise control. Just needed it above freezing. A temp controller is a much better solution, but a timer does work.

Is there a way to measure Keg full level?

maybe a float sensor like in gas tanks? not sure how difficult it would be to keep it sterile. you'd also need to be able to transmit the signal wirelessly.

Electric wiring for fans in a keezer

that's brilliant. i've been trying to figure out where to mount my fan once it gets here. are there nuts on the back side of the plastic lining that it screws into?

Electric wiring for fans in a keezer

just buy an AC fan instead of a DC fan. then you don't need a wall wart. run it off a secondary controller output or in parallel with your compressor. this one is more than sufficient. they have smaller ones on ebay as well...

    Insulate Keezer Collar, or Not?

if you've got a temp controller built into the collar, just buy a 120v AC fan off ebay. then you don't need to worry about a wall-wart. my tsx3 love controller has 2 outputs so 1 is for the compressor and the other for the fan, but you could just as easily power both off the same relay so the...

Help with Love digital controller error :(

FYI just got my tsx3 and had the probe 2 error. Changing these parameters as Cladius instructed fixed the problem. Once d12 is set to SD1 the unit no longer requires an SD2 input. At that point you can change P6 to NO. this's a very sexy unit btw :)

Fan CFM for kenmore 8.8 keezer

cool cool. from what i've been reading, having a fan makes a pretty big difference in stabilizing temps. more so than insulating the collar an stuff. is noise a problem at all? i know it'll be inside a freezer but just wonderin. the 120 on my computer's aftermarket cpu cooler is pretty...
