    I usually like to siphon a small bucket of sanitiser before dipping into the beer. That makes sure the hose is nice and clean. "D

    Hi all. i am getting close to bottling and I am going to replace the x amount of dextros in the kit with malt extract. Should I messure the dex and put the exact same amount of malt extract in its place or should I add a little more/less? thank you

    hmm.. You know.... I have a pilsner in primary.. i wonder if i can food color it in the secondary and see if it comes out cool like that. Edit** Would food color mess with anything? It is pretty tastless afterall..

    The slick tongue thing is back.

    just a complete noob guess but perhaps whatever is making the beer buttery is in some bottles more then others? There may be a few bottles that were not affected at all. all guesses btw :P

    High gravity brews need blowoff tube

    I had a nice dark beer for my first batch. Og was recomended at 1.25ish and I ended up nicknaming it " my little volcano " Now I dont brew anything without a blow off tube :P It is not fun shampooing the carpets all day.
