Hi Sause Sounds lovely does that recipe! although its a bit sparse on the hops, porters can be anything upto 40 ibu's and still have a good flavour balance. personaly i would enjoy low 30's,all a matter of taste eh!

Maxing Out Carbonation With Priming Sugar

I've had some way over carbonated bottles and never had one explode. I use one teaspoon of white cane suger per 500ml bottle and get good fizz. In my early days of brewing i would bottle streight from the primary until one batch was bottled when it was still fermenting (not intended) and...

    King keg priming

I use this type of keg and feel the same about carbonation,so i use about 4 tbls of white sugar for priming,i use the top tap/float type and get enouph carbonation to dispense 2/3rds of the contents after that co2 gets the rest.so 100g of LME sounds ok to me:mug:

Sierra Nevada PA: can you *really* re-culture?

That's what it sounds like to me too. Just brought a bottle of snpa(350ml) up from the celler thats been sat there for a few weeks to take a look at the sediment and yes its in there but not a lot,it looks like very small cotton wool balls and is easly disturbed.
