Andy Capp grew on me the more I read him... Funny as hell!

    Making clear IPA again

Agree that haze is ok in style, but I do love classic clear IPA from the left coast... Led Zeppelin sang it best, "I can't quit you, babe!"

Dusting off the brewery... again. Where do you get your grain?

Gotta second Morebeer (for the free shipping) and Amazon (great prices!). I got 50# of two row and a half dozen bags of 5-10# adjuncts. Delivery was fast from both

Hope to measure out the grain bill and grind it for my cream of three crops... Other than that I have a lot of cleaning

    What are you drinking now?

Cracked open a couple of my Green Warrior APA that I bottled 8 days ago. Got a nice little 'pffft' on opening, but minimal head on the pour. Flavor was spot on, crisp and not too clear from chill haze, but very tasty despite being green... A month from now it will be amazing!

What I did for beer today

Bottled my Green Warrior APA... Got only 46 bottles but it's ok because it tastes great and came in at an FG of 1.004 for an abv% of 7.4!

What came in the mail for you today?

It will be worth all the money and time you put into it! All grain brewing was instant 25% improvement in all of my brewing. I made the jump after reading the quote "You can make very good beer with extract. You can craft excellent beer with all grain!"

What I did for beer today

I dry hopped my APA with an oz each of warrior, green bullet and mosaic... Used stainless steel mesh globes for the first time to see if it beats the mesh bags.

    Homemade hot sauce recipes

I made my first salsa verde last week. Tomatillos, serrano and jalapeno, cayenne and a small single Carolina Reaper pod! Came out very green and not atomic hot. All in all I was pleased with the final product.

My critters are happily churning away and it smells divine

What I did for beer today

Now I have high krausen! The little suckers are rocking the wort, throwing gas upward and outward...
  18. catdaddy66

What I did for beer today

I purposely didn't add ice to my swamp cooler because I saw no krausen after 48 hours. I think I might have under pitched so I want to get the temp up and wake up the yeast. No napping on the job!! Lol
  19. catdaddy66

What came in the mail for you today?

Nothing! Which is odd, because I ordered over $60 worth of grains from Morebeer 8 days ago yet haven't got a single email about the order. I left a message inquiring about this and hope I don't have to reorder. Oh, well... C'est la vie

What I did for beer today

Pitched yeast after harvesting, and cooled beer to mid-low 60's to kick off a strong fermentation!
