I have seen some recipes only putting in half of lme and then other half 10 min before end of boil?

the 8 gallon? Also if im using the extract recipe do I add it all at the begining of boil or is there a late addition?

Gonna brew this one on Tuesday, one question is my fermenter. should I use a 6.5 gal or an 8 gal bucket? want to make sure I have enough room and do not loose any all over my place. I have a 6 gallon carboy but pretty sure thats not big enough for a 6 gallon batch?

I was wondering if anyone ever used monin syrup in anything they made? I work in a resturant and use like 7 different flavors there. the ingredents for the wild raspberry are,pure cane sugar, water, natural and artifical ras flavor, citric acid, potassium sorbate (preservative) FD&C red#40.

A home brewer friend of mine said to do it in a well ventalated area. was gonna use the propane on my patio, but if its not needed I dont mind brewing in my kitchen. just thinking about my daughters safty, my place smelled great on my first batch :rockin:

Is it ok to brew my beer in my kitchen? I use the vent fan but have an under 2yo daughter and wanna make sure its ok. Should I buy a single burner propane set up and if so does anyone know a good one?

OK so I guess the only question I have is if I drink this beer will it hurt me?? this is my first brew so I know its not gonna win any awards. But there is no way its getting dumped down the drain, I dont care if it tastes like PBR. So can I drink it???

So 1 week secondary then 2 weeks bottle and then chug um ??

I put a hose in it took a big pull and put it in the secondary, pulled it all out . just concerned about the air ? everything I used was sanitized , except mouth ..........what should I do now??

So I racked into my secondary tonight after 2 weeks in primary. racking cane had a crack in it and got air into the beer, mouth siphoned it much as I could but it looks like it did a week ago (cloudy) got it cold crashing right now on my patio but have no idea what will happen to it????

Have a 20 month old, beer intake went down simply because my wife could not drive a stick and I needed to be alert if something happened also my friend got a dui a wile back, bac was .274 dam. have a brand new car now (automatic)wife can drive now, but will only have more than a few if I know...
