Towards the end of my love hate Zymatic relationship I mostly just used BrewSmith and one or two canned advanced recipes. One of the things that really pissed me off were the simple/stupid recipe editor bugs that they never bothered to fix. Used a scale for the keg/water.

I ordered the 30amp 2 element mid November. Fedex will be delivering Thursday. They got buried in orders over xmas. But have been great/responsive keeping me up to date. Just email them and im sure they will give you a window.

Not an electrician but I think the reason for that is its easier to expand later off the panel than having to do another run to the breaker. More upfront cost/lower down the road if adding more stuff. But definately do GFCI and make sure its in writing if having an electrician install. I didnt...

If the Brewie can up their game on reliability and service game over Picobrew then pico is finished. Price point on the Z is fail compared to what brewie+ advertises. I won't touch either w a ten foot pole though. Been burned once w the Zymatic.

A lot more to it than just recirculating at the temp of your water supply. You need insulation too. At best you will probably be able to get a little lower than room temp/ambient. Look for a DIY glycol chiller and heating pad + temp controller to switch on the pump vs pad.

I think all of the systems have had wiring failures. From Zymatic to grainfather. Even Spike's panels right out of the box. Probably they one area where they all seem to fail now and then.

What kind of issues are they having? Don't have a dog in the fight as I sold my Zymatic and got a refund on the Z2 vaporware. Just here for the schadenfreude now. Question on the brewie - does it still require a waterline or can you fill it without involving a plumber?

I'll wager money they don't even know how its supposed to work yet given the struggle/CF to get the single headed units out.

I think the error #1 is a function of just how the Zymatic works and every user is going to get them no matter what if you keep it/brew long enough. What did they fix when you sent your's back? Or did they just bleed a bubble out of the loop/top it off?

Literally timed my 3 vessle build to deer season. Controller should be shipping sometime in the next week from grounded brewing tech. Just took down the last of my hang on stands today.
