    Dojo IPA (Mojo Clone)

I am a huge fan of Boulder's Mojo IPA, and have been dying to clone it. After some discussion here, this is the recipe I came up with, and it pretty well nailed it. I did not have the time to dry hop this, and had to hurry it into bottles so I could pack up and move. The aroma needs a little...

    Recipe for Mojo IPA?

Mojo is on the right, "Dojo" as I've named it, is in the Wild Hops glass on the left. -First, There's an obvious color difference, though it is actually an issue with differing clarity. You're going to have to trust me on this - color is exactly the same. -Head and head retention are...

Don'tcha just love winter beer season?!?

I really can't wait to get back into a state where there's a decent selection of beers. I'm missing out on most of these you guys are talking about. Any interesting takes on the "Christmas Beer" concept you've stumbled across? I need to, um, do research. mmmm.... research....

Think I'll be entering a christmas beer competition this year. Should be interesting with so much competition in one category.

    Super Awesome Lemongrass Soda

The main problem I forsee is the flavors created by the yeast. There's not much else here to cover up that slight funkiness, which might ruin an otherwise very clean soda. I guess I would recommend creating a concentrate and adding that to some commercial soda water.

    Hello from Grand Rapids Michigan

Doesn't matter. The mash tun doesn't ever need to be sanitized, just clear of junk. The boil kettle is handily self-sanitizing!

Few questions about my first cider.

Sounds like your 5 liter demijohn has a leak around the bung. When there's big activity like that, there should be a lot of gas production. Carbonation is produced by a re-fermentation in the bottle. you normally accomplish this by adding sugar prior to bottling. If you also want to...

Anyone have any Netflix Instant Play movie recommendations?

I love me some documentaries. They grow on you. Many need to be taken solely on entertainment value, not factual content. I thought District 9 was pretty cool. I don't get to the theater at all, and don't have cable or even over-the-air TV, so a lot of the stuff on NF is new to me.

    1.073 to 1.024 then bottled,now what?

I had a string of high gravity beers go underattenuated. It's very frustrating, and I dumped 3 of them. Not a popular solution, I know, but life is too short to force down less than excellent beer. Anyway, my problems have been gone since I got a stirplate and started pitching big stirred...

    NEW BELGIUM BOTTLES. defected?

I supposed you could look at it like: it held up to NB's bottling process and handling, so it should be OK for you, too.

    1.073 to 1.024 then bottled,now what?

I agree that 1.024 is a bit high for a 1.073 beer, but what was the recipe?
