    I have these ingredients

As it is, you're making an American pale ale coming in at 6%ABVish. Cut the C20 to around 1/2 or 3/4 and use 1.5 oz hops @60, .25 @15, and .25@5. That's a start anyway. Sent from my DROIDX using Home Brew Talk

    Macro beer carbonation?

This is the easiest way. You could filter or use finings to really clear it up first. Sent from my DROIDX using Home Brew Talk

I just dumped 5 gallons of beer down the drain

Nothing wrong with dumping a batch. Life is too short to drink sub-par beer. When you get a bit of experience, you know when a flaw will age out and when the batch is truly hosed. Strong sourness is not a characteristic of young beer.

Is it normal for PSI to drop a couple points on the first night on the first keg?

The disconnects seal before the poppet opens, so it shouldn't be messy. :)

Is it normal for PSI to drop a couple points on the first night on the first keg?

a leak would not show any drop in pressure until the tank was depleted. That's the function of a regulator - to maintain PSI despite flow variance.

First Batch in Progress- Am I Ruining It?

can't say anything without some data.

Prepping bottles for my first batch!!!!!

the dishwasher step is pretty redundant. it won't rinse the bottle interiors, so you'd need to rinse them thoroughly afterward anyway. I'd suggest soaking, rinsing manually, and using the dishwasher only for storage until bottling. You can run the dishwasher empty (with or without a tad of...

    Neuro Fuzzi Apricot Ale

yes, I gave it a nice long mash to convert the rice as much as possible. I don't remember if I used a iodine test to decide to go 90 mins or not. In general you just want as highly milled of japanese short grain rice as you can find. another very common brand name is Calrose. If it's called...

    Dogfish Head caps?

Found this thread, thought i'd chime in. Unfortunately, I'd have to buy 500,000 caps to get a new color. This is the second request for a copper color though, so i'll keep it in mind! For now, you'll be stuck with spray paint (personally I don't like the idea of the trace amounts of overspray...

    Brewery names--what's your story?

I've seen those somewhere. I think it was a HBT vendor doing them. They looked really nice.

    Electric stove vs. Butane Burner

5 gallons on the stovetop will make you weep when after 90 minutes your water is just barely starting to simmer. 2.5 should not be a problem. For this volume, I would just go with what's most convenient for you.

Getting a fridge for free.........what should I do with it?

There's a Johnson controls model that is sold by many brew shops that works by simply plugging the fridge into the controller, and the controller into the wall. It has a long probe lead that you can poke through a small hole in the door seal if you want to. A fridge's built in control isn't...

    Electric stove vs. Butane Burner

10000 BTU is approximately equal to 3000W, so if you know the power of your stove, there's your answer!

    Christmas Lobster

Tasty! I'm not enough of a high roller to buy live ;) but I've had good luck butterflying lobster tails on top of their own shells before cooking. I think it's a pretty common method, but you just scissor down the back of the thing until you get to the last ring, then open the shell down the...

    Lager Problem

If you pitch more, it should be a starter, not just another vial. Don't freak out until you have taken gravity, though.
