    How can I save money on brew day?

    Wow seems expensive all around... How many oz of hops are you using? You can also "re-use" yeast or make yeast starters which I have done a few times to save a few $$.

    How long are grains good once crushed?

    Worst case beer just wont be as good as it could have been. They say crushed grains start to lose their flavour in 2-3 months of being crushed. Doesn't mean you wont still be able to make an "OK" beer.

    I often do this... usually I just buy it bc it's $2.50 for an ounce of it... but I have peeled a whole orange before and used it. Just watch out for the pith!
