    pilsner help

    I currently have a 5 gallong stainless steel brew pot. i also have a 3 gallon stainless steel pot. I have a mini fridge downstairs for cooling. i dont have a propane burner yet thats coming in the next 3 weeks or so. So just a reg stovetop. I really just want to get away from the liquid...

    I love stella never had a real skunked one. I opened a Duvel the other day and ive never smelt a beer as skunked as it was awful though

    bierherr I would love it if you would help me with that recipe and no I dont really no the complete difference between steeping grains and partial Im assuming its just the amount of grain that you need for a full AG but im not really sure? But ill try to make the Kolsch first if you could help...

    I would really like to try to do one. I feel like I would rather get challenged doing something rather then doing the same thing I just did even if I make a mistake I still will learn more from that then doing a extract. Is there just no way to do a partial mash pilsner?

    I believe so i just have to keep it at a low temp correct like 40-60? my basement is well below that in one corner i also have a small fridge that I could keep it in. I love german pilsners

    I am just finishing up my 1st brew and want to try to do a partial mash. I would like to try a good quality pilsner. Nice crisp refreshing for the summer. if anyone has a great pilsner recipe please let me know.

    red sox blow again this might be a long season I know they'll turn it around but so painful so far. Thank god for the bruins. Oh wait they blew a 3-0 lead to remind me of philly last year makes me can't wait for those playoffs lol

    Ya to bad Beckett's gonna get rocked. Saltimacchia = sucks at baseball gonna be a great season. Jk Beckett's curveball looked great in his last ST start so well see how he does tomorrow. Thank god VTEk is playing though. Now we just need to wait for a CBA and wait until september to watch...

    awesome guys thanks very much. Yes it is a extract brew one of the true brew ones oktoberfest. Ill let it sit for 2 more weeks before I check it again. can't wait to get better at this and go AG

    I have my first brew going. it has been fermenting a week now. The first day it started bubbling within 6 hrs after I put the yeast in after 2 days it really slowed down just 1 bubble every 30 seconds or so. I checked it yesterday it was at 20 it needs to get down to 12. But it wasent bubbling...

    I had it last year thought it was decent but to much hops flavor. i had it the other day it seemed to have a great balance nice crisp pilsner prob the best ive ever had i dont know if they changed something in the last year but so much better imo.
