    CO2 Question

If you do get it, make sure you know what is in it before you use it on your kegs. If it was used for welding, there is a strong possibility that it is a blend such as co2/ argon, or any number of possibilities. I cannot read the tag on the bottle in the picture. It should be labeled but you...

    Question Regarding CO2 Manifolds

I'm aware that each style has its own optimal Carb level. But in the interest of simplicity I use a 6 portmanifold and Carb all of my beers at 12 psi. Honestly I think they are all great. I have served everything from a hefe to stouts on my set up. One day I may want to get into secondary...

    Post your infection

I have a 5g batch of a peanut butter porter. It was in primary for about 6 weeks because I was busy and forgot about it. I racked it to secondary with some cocoa. It was fine at the time of transfer. It tasted great. I transfered it about 5 days ago. I came home tonight and found this after not...

    Question about co2 draining speed

What size tank do you have? The high side gauge is pretty much useless. It will only drop into the red when the tank is about to run out. The only way to know how much co2 you have is to weigh it. It does not show you how much co2 you hqve left like your fuel gauge in your car. It only shows...

    Wort chiller.. 25ft or 50ft

I have an IC made from 50 ft of coiled 1/2 inch copper. I can bring 5 gallons of boiling wort down to 70 degrees using regular tap water in less than ten minutes. I don't need to stir it or anything. I have not tried it with a 10 gallon batch yet, but I'm sure it would do great.

    Keg Dispensing - Help Needed

What size I.D. line do you have? I use ten feet of 3/16 I.D. line on my taps with my co2 set to 12 psi and I get perfect pours. I have a picnic tap that I bought at my local shop that's 1/4 inch. You probably have the same. 1/4 inch line has a lot less resistance than 3/16. When you have too...

    Faucets

Perlick forward sealing faucets are held in very high regard around here. I have three of the 525ss models and they area great. I upgraded from the standard chrome plated rear sealing faucets and the difference is huge. My old faucets would stick if you didn't pour a pint for a few days. I had...

to any one with a converted pin lock corny...

No problem. I'm sure you will have plenty of room height wise. As far as depth wise, have you thought of attaching a small collar between the door and the fridge? I have seen a few on here done like that. Edit: nevermind. I see from your other post that you have already started on a collar...

to any one with a converted pin lock corny...

I have a converted pin lock. Its 22" tall by 9" wide. I use the connectors that have the screw on barb. With the connector on it measures 22&7/8" tall to the flat top of the connector, but when you factor in the barb, its around 23&1/3" tall with the hose on the barb.

    free thermostat

I had a fridge that went bad on me. It was from the mid 90s and was a unique set up. It didn't have the regular fridge coils on the back and the one on the inside. It was a single door unit, with inside dimensions about 48Hx25Wx24W. The refrigeration set up was more like a freezer with coils...

vending machine parts - SE Mich.

I have some parts from a small vending machine. (Look up Juice mate vending for details. I only needed the fridge part and gutted one to turn it into a kegerator (its gonna be sweet) anyways, I was gonna scrap this stuff but figured I'd see if anyone could use it for something. Its all...

    Pin Lock Corny's

Why do you need a pull ring? Everybody who has pin locks, or converted pinlocks just pulls off the gas in connector and depresses the poppet with a screwdriver or something of that sort. If you must have tops w pull rings, you can buy them brand new for about 15 dollars online.

    1/6 keg Macomb Mi

It works and holds pressure fine. I disassembled it and ran some cleaner through it and everything worked fine. I am set up for corney kegs. I could use it, but I want to keep my kegerator all ball lock. I have no idea how much shipping would be, but I could look into it. If someone local...

    1/6 keg Macomb Mi

Decom'ed 1/6 keg. holds pressure, no dents 9 inches wide by 23 inches tall. Same size as a corney I don't know what its worth, and hope someone can use it. Let's call it $50 or trade for other beer stuff. Let me know if I am too high on the price. Would prefer local pick up. Will meet in the...

    Storing beer in a cornie.

If its going to sit for that long, why not purge the headspace, then add some priming sugar and let it naturally carb?

1.004 Fg on a simple pilsner

It tastes like beer. It has decent body and doesn't seem watered down or anything. Its just really bitter and dry, somewhat like a cider that I made before I back sweetened it.

1.004 Fg on a simple pilsner

I think I am going to let it sit for a little longer, then try the lactose route. We shall see how it turns out. Thanks for all the help guys. Even though I messed this one up, it was still fun.
