How much washed yeast for a starter?

Well its from s-05 dry yeast and I do 5 gallon batches. Just seems like a lot compared to when I have used a liquid yeast for a starter. I know some of the yeast is dead yeast. I just don't want to over pitch

How much washed yeast for a starter?

I washed my yeast from my first beer I made and filled up an old liquid vial full of yeast. I'm just wondering how much of this I should use to make a starter?

    Dont brew drunk!!!!

Maybe I did Panic a little last nigh haha. I just always thought you shouldn't introduce air to your wort till its cooled down. It was still around 120. Its a double chocolate stout with s-05 yeast maybe its forgiving.

    Dont brew drunk!!!!

Im just worried because I splashed around my hot wort a lot. I mean i poured it from my pot to my fermenter at about 120 degrees. Then added cool water but i really did mix up tons of bubbles.

    Dont brew drunk!!!!

Well i couldn't get my wort to cool down past 118 and like an idiot poured it into my fermentation bucket thinking i could pour cool water over it to cool it down. I aerated it soo bad!!!!! pitched the yeast at 80 degrees and stuck it in my fermenter. Whatever!:drunk:

    Noob problem

I got all excited after starting my first beer and decided to start on a second one. The problem is I already finished pitching my yeast in the second batch and realized I have only one airlock! The other beer is in a glass carboy and is done fermenting. Could I take off the airlock on that one...
