    Homemadesoda syrups?

I have almost all of the parts for a post-mix setup with a bar gun. Anyone ever make your own syrups? Please post recipes or links to threads. I am mostly interested in root beer but would take comments on any recipe. Thanks

    Temperature for bibs

I plan on builder a keezer that will have 2 soda kegs in it; one for cold water (fed by a filtered water line) and the second will have soda water (fed by a carbonator pump). The entire thing will be outside. Can I put the bibs in the keezer at 34 degrees or will they be too thick for my pumps.

I plan on filling kegs for soda under counter pressure, but also plan on having a tap of soda water. For that purpose I was considering doing what Eric did or as I mentioned earlier, put the cold water reservoir before the pump and have the pump in the freezer. That part is a new idea to me so...

Yes, I plan on keeping it between 34 an 36. In the winter I plan to cover the taps with a foam box and put a small plumbers strip heater in there for nights below freezing. Where I live it only freezes maybe a couple weeks a year.

Actually, I was planning on putting the carbonator pump (and tank) in the freezer. The reason is that the keezer is going to be outside and I do not want bugs, dust, and critters messing with the pump.

Eric I am still slowly planning my system and I had an idea. Do you think I could get the same result by having a soda keg with tap water on one terminal and feed the output to a carbonator pump that is in a keezer with the soda keg? That way the keg would be at a lower pressure and I...

    BIB shelf life?

I am interested in mixing my own soda from BIBs. Once I open a bib, does it need refrigeration? Does it spoil? I imagine a box of syrup would be a great place for bacteria to grow. Can it be re-sealed? What do you do? I imagine 1 bib would last me at least a year if I have more than one...

Anyone ever build an outdoor keezer?

I plan to put the freezer in a shed like structure that backs up to an outdoor kitchen and have a 12" long tunnel from the collar to my taps. The shed roof will flip up to access the freezer. At some point I plan to put a roof over my taps and outdoor kitchen, but that may be later. I am in...

Spunding Valve - Commericial Style DIY

You could also try floating tube around the spring as well. Something rigid that keeps the spring straight and just short enough to allow the ball to unseat from the seal. The tube would also need to clear your adjustment screw.

Pressures. Can i use 80-90 psi to push soda?

Ok, I did not get the answer I was looking for yet, so I am going to rephrase the question. If I can regulate my soda flow with a length of 1/8" line, is there any downside to pushing soda at the 80-90 psi?

Pressures. Can i use 80-90 psi to push soda?

A smaller line reduces the flow rate an increases the pressure drop per foot of line.
