My Second Time Brewing Any Suggestions??

I don't have a gas burner so i'm goin to partially cove to bring to boil. I didn't boil 5 gallons only 2 that's what the directions said to do. I don't know what ABV means but sounds like i don't need it. I'm steeping the grains at the moment. Thanks.

My Second Time Brewing Any Suggestions??

Okay, I’m going to give this a second try. This will be my second try at brewign and of the same beer to see if it comes out any differently. The first time around I followed the directions below but couldn’t get the brew water to boil until 50 minutes after steeping the grains by putting...

    First Brew Not So Good

That's what the homebrew store said to do. Maybe that'll be a new topic, priming suger or no priming sugar in boil if force carbonating.

    First Brew Not So Good

One more thing, should i let my current batch sit in the keg at 10 psi for 2 weeks? What determines when the beer has been fully carbonated. I've heard 1 - 2 weeks at 10 psi. If the beer is carbonated in 2 weeks at 10 psi what stops it from continuing to carbonate? Don't you need to keep the...

It wouldn't come to a boil without a lid. I waited 50 minutes with no boil. 2 gallons is bit of water but i wouldn't thnk it would take 50 mionutes to boil.

I tried to carbonate it quickly from some suggestions i got. I think from here on out i'll keg it, set to 10 psi and wait the few weeks it takes to carbonate. Thanks!

Correct 12 days to ferment. That's what the directions said to do. After the 12 days there were no bubbles in the airlock. Don't know if that really means anything.

So, just keep the co2 presure at 10psi and wait a couple weeks? Does it hurt anythin to taste the beer over that two week period?

No i did not check the gravity before moving from primary to secondary. It's been in the keg four days. I put it in on Monday night found the leak Tuesday night got everything fixed Wednesday afternoon.

I had the lid on during the boil but left space to vent and I steeped the grains at 155 - 160 degrees for 30 minutes.

He is the deal, I bought a homebrew kit, co2 keg kit and a German Altbier. After steeping the grains I was to bring the water to a boil before adding the malt extract and then boil for 60 minutes. I could not get the water to boil after about 50 minutes I put a lid on the pot and then it...
